Got drunk 2 times in my life (16 and 18). Made such a fool of myself (others cleaned up the messes) that I couldn't see the attraction anymore. Beer tastes like earwax, hard stuff goes right to my bladder, wine is a waste of good grape juice. Always nice to know I can drive home, self and others.

I had a Schwinn Pixie as my first bike, 16" solid rubber wheels. When I needed new wheels I talked my dad into keeping the old ones so I could tinker with them.

Had a Huffy Thunder Road (42 plate), AMF Hawk (black with yellow mags), Mongoose Supergoose, 1986 Schwinn Predator Freeform EX, 1986 Diamond Back Mike Dominguez Strike Zone..then discovered cars.

Nowadays I am still collecting and building old BMX.

Had the large canvas bag strung across the handlebars on my bike. My route was the out-of-town paper meaning there was only one or two deliveries per block so whole route was a couple of miles. Snow days were fun, basically had to push the bike through 1-3" of snow wearing shoes and socks that definitely were not up to the task. Fortunately this was central Illinois so snow days were few and if I waited a bit the snowplows would come and clear the streets. Also helped that a city commissioner lived in same neighborhood and for same reason our neighborhood was first to get plowed. 50 years later I can still go onto Google maps and trace my route and point to many of the houses I delivered to.

I grew up in Kansas, the Land of Ahhhh's. Tumor removed from my ear a few years back and have another soon to be gone. I should have worn the hat, but...I was way too cool. And nobody (or are least we didn't) knew anything about sun and skin cancer in the fifties.
