I have the option to buy this truck for a great deal! I think? It’s a 2011 trd off road 4x4 190000 miles. It was in a collision. Hit the driver front panel and made the front tire go sideways. I think the upper and lower control arms are damaged. Most likely tie rod and ball joints and front axel? Nothing leaking after accident. The front bumper and headlight were damage gas well. Would you buy this truck? What concerns would you have?
I am just planning iron making it an off-road hunting truck. Thanks for any input

Add the price of a spindle to the list.
The spindles have been known to bend if you wheel it hard.
You may not need one, but I always like to “prepare” for the worst.

I see a possibly bent knuckle/spindle from the collision. The rest seem to be from wear/neglect: leaking steering rack, torn tie rod end boot, missing inner fender splash guards, torn CV axle boots, and collapsed lower shock bushing. The frame on this 12 year-old truck looks rust-free! $1800 is a no-brainer!

For 1800, I'd do it for a dedicated offroad/hunting rig

So I can buy the truck for 1800 was told the frame is good bye the shop that looked it over. It was my brothers rig. He wants to just let it go. He said it ran good 4x4 worked. He has had it since new. I just feel like it could be a good hunting truck if I put some work into it. I wouldn’t worry about the bumper and fender. New headlight would obviously get.
    It’s a 2011 tx trd

A few additions to make me feel cool.
For that price you can’t lose. Worst case you part it out. Look for one that was rear ended or totaled anywhere but the left front and buy everything you need off that truck. Even if the frame is a little tweaked it won’t matter for an off-road rig. The 3 wheels that are good are worth half of what he is asking.

Might as well replace the hub, too, since you're there.

It's a lot to replace, but for the price you're offered, it's a great setup.

I think it will be a fun project! I have not done a ton with suspension before. A couple lifts and boots. I did buy the truck. Won’t start the project till late spring. Time to start liking for parts.

Didn’t want to make another post! Where would be the best place to source parts? I have been looking on eBay and Facebook marketplace. The biggest problem I live far away from most the cities that parts I need. Is there any pages I should be watching?
I live in southwest montana. Thanks for any advice or tips! It will be awhile before I can work on it because of an injury to my hand!

I like to check out a few Toyota sites and find one with free shipping and a 28%-30% off discount. Toyota will even do a sale that takes and additional 15% off. That's the best way to go but you never know when that's gonna happen. Back to school in late Aug was the last time I got the big discount and it was 28% +15% + free shipping over $200. That was quite a deal, wish I'd have waited to buy everything I needed to fix my wrecked truck.

    https://www.rockauto.com/

This place has the best prices. You will find a bunch of OE Manufacturers without paying the Toyota premium

    https://www.extremeterrain.com/

I bought a few things from here. Open box will give you actual pictures of the thing you're getting. The sales people are clueless and money hungry but it's nice to talk to a person when doing a shipping return.

If it was a stock truck you’d be doing this anyway.

-frame check on jig, optional, $300
    -LCA pivots
    -struts and springs
    -LCA replace or upgrade
    -sway bar delete
    -rack upgrade
    -spindles gusseted
    -UCA upgrade
    -fender is $50
    Etc
