I just looked at the claim on the app, and it says they're paying $2053, plus there's a $1K deductible. I'm going to call today and see if that's just preliminary or what.

Might also want to see if they have a preferred shop for the repairs. Sometimes they do and get butthurt if you don’t goto one of those.

last one I did I just went to the shop and they handled everything after I opened the claim.

    @Pixeltim I wasn't exaggerating when I said 20 operating manuals.
    Was actually an understatement. lol

I know which shops they use. Luckily, my friend works at one of them. I'm guessing that if I take it to one of their preferred shops, I'll have better luck if the actual cost ends up being higher than their estimate. Which I really thought it would be.

My maxtrax spend a lot of time helping other people. But sometimes I use them for comedy. :D

Nah, that's where the funnest/funniest lines happen.

Bet the shop finds way more than their picture estimate. 3k is barely enough to cover your crash supports behind the bumper in that whole assembly. Per Toyota. And you're going to want the OEM ones put back in there. Not some junk from the Hundred Acre Wood

I don't think it's going to work out that way, unfortunately. I can either take the $2K and fix it myself (which probably won't even cover the parts to actually fix it properly), or I have to go through a shop, in which case progressive pays them directly.

    Agreed.

I was hoping to have them pay me directly, and then try to save some money by looking for an OEM headlight that someone swapped out for aftermarket housings, and having them leave out the bumper cover, since I'm just going to cut it and trash it anyway.

But, it sounds like the only way that I'm getting this fixed properly is going to involve progressive paying the shop directly.

Oh well. At least the ball is rolling now.

Ironically I know about it because of memes. It's Ladas, dried meats, Adidas tracksuits, and squats (proper flat footed ones).

Only posted because there was also the RCI transmission and crossmember skids as well. I figured for that price it's a decent combo deal

For anyone who was following the exchange between a few members the other day - Dennis AKA Peeing on Jeeps reached out to me and I wanted to share what he said. I did leave out a bit that seemed personal and I wasn't sure if he would want it posted in here.

Here's what he said, minus a few sentences:

"Morning James ! Just wanted to apologize to Jonathan for over reacting to his post. I'm not making excuses for my reaction...
...I would of apologized to him myself and the Wisconsin crew but I guess I got banned again! Guess I'm getting good at that. Just please let Jonathan and the WI. Crew I do apologize for my reaction. Thank you"

I've met Dennis and hit trails with him, and he's a genuinely good guy. I'm sure the other members who have met him would agree.
