That ones a snow helmet, but they do have street, unless you are meaning to shop for snow helmets?

I've seen em pop up here and there, looks nice but a bit too busy for my taste. I have to wonder on the quality of all those features at that price point as well, when top of the line race helmets cost as much or more with no

Also I personally could not get behind the Fidlock closure system when I had my Ruroc. Could never get it with gloves on consistently, and the time savings vs a standard Double D ring was negligible.

Yeah I threw that in in one of the edits, that that was a snow lid technically. 90% the same as their street variant minus the heated visor. And with my winter commuting a heated visor would actually be the bee's knees.

I have fidlock on my Delta R3 and I loved it, never had issues lining it up even with gloves on, interesting. With my fat fingers I usually can't do d-rings with my gloves on.

Man, it was a nice day out! Spent all day working on my fence and listened to absolute silence.
    Was a good day :)

That kind of sucks. Looking at the pictures I don't see needing a lot of the bits. Only one torx fastener on the FJR. 3 or 4 hex bits and a screwdriver bit or 2. Could use some sockets instead. How hard would it be to modify the case and change it?

Heated visor would definitely be a nice little addition for real winter commuting.

Maybe it's just me, idk. Even without gloves on I had to fiddle with it more than I liked. That said, I can't do d-rings with gloves on either, always barehanded. I had just been expecting the fidlock to be much more manageable with gloves, which wasn't the case for me.

It looks like you could fit those sockets if you are removing more than on a 1:1 basis, IE remove 2-3 of the useless bits to fit one socket. I could be wrong though

In other news, I think it's time to replace my visor and cheek pads for my AGV helmet. helmet is about 2.5 years old, cheek pads have slowly been compressing, I've been noticing these past couple weeks there's a lot more airflow coming up from under the neckroll.

As for the visor, my helmet fell off the seat on a ride last weekend, and landed right on the visor. Little scratched up, but more concerning is that I can see sun coming through the top seal where it never used to before, and when i turn my head to do a shoulder check on the freeway, I see the wind catching it and lifting it up a little bit. Never use to do that before either. I'm guessing that light impact was enough to deform the visor to cause these issues.

I have a fox bicycle helmet with the fidlock, love it! For me it almost attaches and locks itself, so easy.

That helmet is really cool. If I didn't just buy an expensive new lid I would love something to integrated. I'd probably just carry a power bank to plug into instead of the bike, just keep it in the jacket

The IQ there is already pretty low so they figure natural selection is the best course of action anyway.

I think if I do it that way, the Fuelly app I use will count it as a missed fuel up and won't track it as the miles and gallons are a lot more than average. I could be wrong about that, though.

You’d have to either Swiss cheese the case with holes or lie the sockets sideways because they’re tall and won’t fit.

I still like having all the different bits even if my bike doesn’t need them. A few weeks ago I was at a friends house and he needed a hex bit for his bike that was a different size but I had in the kit.

It also fits well under the seat with all the sockets in a separate bag.

Thanks for doing this for me! I'll likely still go grab one of these but might just break it all down and only carry what I need possibly not even using the case. I see the sockets look like they have a pretty long "leg" to them so I'm wondering how that might work if I just cut them down to make them shorter so they could fit in the case?

He may have just meant there's no need for heated visors. Being in hot as hell AL, that's how I took it anyway

Ah that makes sense. TBH I was working late, drinking whiskey and feeling feisty last night. My bad.
