Agreed, Farook's truck on its side, ericbobo's on its roof, Evgeny's hanging off a cliff hauled up by a heep, Peter's up on jacks on the trails...mine in my driveway...Dax's rear end crumpled in...Leo in the no go hole...

    Proposed sticker looks good!

Very much doubt, the main road is used by people with cottages further up the road, this makes access to the lake hard to block. Maybe having gated access like they have on some BC trails would be good idea. That way you can track who did what.

Algonquin Park's Rock lake has a similar gate system. there are some cottages inside of the park that you'd need a gate key to get past. Right outside that gate at Rock lake, you have park rangers (at the check in building) that can see what's going on and can react if needed.

However, the issue for Ardbeg is going to be enforcement, no one is going to sit back and watch it 24/7. Ardbeg would still need a way to prevent ATVs and Side by sides from simply knocking a tree over to the left or right of the gate and going around it (lets face it, the dickheads that half-cut a tree down and shoot at it wont give a f- about the gate. they'll most likely go around it or through it). Placing boulders well into the tree line is another option theoretically but without having a cop that could nail them financially, they'll do whatever.

normal 4x4s (us) will be pissed for sure, but we'd most likely respect that choice of closing the trail as much as we'd not want it to happen. but an dickhead wont follow it nore will he care, just thinking "aww sweet, no one here!".

this is basically all we can do for the time being. We can talk with the municipality with ideas of what we/they can do.

Yeah parents have a full shop so I can do all myself at just cost of part. I figure it'll be lots of little gaskets, a brake job, and a set of tires (which I already have laying around, both summers and winters). I also have a lot of experience with the platform, I owned the exact same car (mine was stick though) for two years. I did a head gasket on it so I have had it apart. It does help that it never sat for overly long periods of time- it was driven daily, just along a 6-7km route to pick up their grandkids from school and then home. I would bet on it being clogged up a bit from lack of highway warming up, but gf drives 50-75km daily, so it'll get plenty of long drives to burn that shit out . I figure it's about the best I'll do for 3500 or so. Genuinely though, if anyone has any knowledge on those cars or wisdom in general, I will accept any and all advice.
