I have a friend that has a Mav hybrid. His is pretty nice. It would meet my needs. If it was available a year earlier, I might have purchased one.

 

I still have a Colt Government model I bought in 1979 my son is going to love it

 

When I tested them many years ago, I couldn’t hit the target with the Colt I rented. There are many variations now so I’m sure I could find one that fits me.

I ended up buying a new SIG P226 for $400.

Everything is cool, but not as cool as a 1911.

I don't carry, but a full framed 1911 would not be my choice if I did. So i'm just having fun waiting for Toyota to disappoint me greatly.

 

I have a lot of 1911s. I build them. I like the trigger, accuracy, and looks. The Glock trigger doesn't feel as good but, maybe because I've had so much training with it, I shoot it just as well if not better. It's lighter, holds more rounds, and is more reliable.

I used to own an early Bronco. I would like to get another one. But if I did, it would not do anything better than my 4Runner. It would be less comfortable, get worse gas mileage, and be less reliable. It wouldn't be a primary driver, so a toy to drive on the weekends? (I'm retired, so technically everyday is a weekend).

I also had a '67 GT500. Not as fast as modern cars, not as comfortable, horrible gas mileage.

Every time I think about getting a vintage vehicle I don't because I realize using that money to get a nicer "daily" driver is money better spent. The utilization rate is way higher. Having a an old "toy" car is like getting a gym membership and never going to the gym.

Not my Bronco. Sold it before digital cameras were a thing. Still like the looks.

No, I e-mailed and told them only to let me know if "Jan is calling" from Toyota, I do not accept calls from Adventure.

 

Did they provide any pricing or other useful info?
