    Got a buddy nearby that runs the hand torch on his table and he hates that he isn't sure if he's consistently placing it back in the holder any time he swaps consumables.

    He's eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new torch :rofl:

    He'll either buy one himself, or buy my old machine torch. No need to have three torches myself :bananadead:

    He's been making and selling these; nets 2 pits per 4' x 4' sheet of 10 gauge and says sometimes he'll get beveling due to the torch not sitting identical to how it was on the cuts prior -

    The machine torch mount allows one to change consumables without ever dismounting the torch.

    Then again if you're not cutting often, there's no real benefit to having a machine torch.

    Yeah, your torch uses the same consumables I'll be using. Your cut quality probably doesn't suffer due to the consumables you're using.

    @Bandido

    I get great cuts already, but my setup can be a bit temperamental

    Hypertherm consumables will maintain this level of quality for a lot longer between cuts, and are easier to maintain.

    I'll know I need to swap nozzles when I start getting a bit of beveling, and the crappy part being that the hafnium isn't even worn out yet on the electrode.

    I get OK cuts, and I think I mostly need to dial in my settings for the material I am using more than anything else.

    I have noticed some beveling on occasion, specifically when doing 3/8" 304 header flanges.

    but on 1/8 its usually fine
