    And back to the original question, both guns the OP asked about are fine. Just go with the one you guys like the best. Like others have said, you have to be realistic, the main purpose for the gun will probably be as a hobby, to enjoy plinking and practicing at the range, to have and to hold, to clean and fondle, and to excercise your American rights to own protection.

    A lot depends on where you live and frequent, but for the average person, statistically the chances are remote it will actually be needed for protection.

    Ok did it. Bought the 4th gen Glock 19. Can't wait to make it to the range. I will just wait till Xmas to get something in the 45cal. Thanks guys for some info and laughs.

    my sister just got a 4th gen 19 and she shot it very well, you should love it, there's a reason the G19 is one of glocks top sellers
