Here's a few videos on clamping. When you dig a bit deeper, you'll find that there's a large amount of creators that have videos on clamping techniques but they are all very similar. Some creators are more focused on showing you their processes of creating products whereas others are more tailored to teaching you techniques about woodworking. To name a few: Stumpy Nubs, The Wood Whisperer, Steve Ramsey, Foureyes Furniture, Mike Farrington, Blacktail studio, Bourbon Moth Woodworking, and John Maleki.

I rarely use calls, not saying I don't but it's not often. I usually just do several smaller glue ups to help keep everything lined up rather than fighting a large glue up. That's why even doing my bench glue ups I'm doing it in sections, easier to keep lined up.

I typically only use cauls when gluing up dovetail joints.

Little walnut tray I just finished.
I did use cauls for the glue up of this guy. It was 7 pieces of 3/4 thick wood. Even with parallel clamps it wanted to bow in the middle. It still came out with a slight bow, but the frame around the sides fixed that problem.

Im actually slightly allergic to walnut! Makes me itch when I work with it especially if I'm hard at sanding for a few days! But walnut is what I work with most. I love the smell of white cedar...red cedar smells like a hampster cage to me! Lol.

White Oak is my favorite smelling wood. I wish i worked with it more. I have some beautiful cherry slabs just waiting for a client to order something! But everyone wants walnut these days!

I love the final results of working with locust, but the smell is a little weird indeed. And it's MURDER on my tools, it's soooo hard.

Before and after resawing and planing all the roughcut walnut for my bed project. Gonna go for a Mid century modern kinda look. Need to glue up some panels for the headboard and footboard next week.

Had the time and decided to glue up the headboard before the weekend. 4 parallel clamps and some.pony clamps on thr edged to keep the end joints straight.
