Yeah, at most I might go down in the future, but I'm still nervous about how much boost this engine can survive.

Edit: does that Allen set screw valve opening have anything to do with anything?

It's not about the amount of boost, more keeping the supercharger cool which means staying in the right window of boost or if exceeding it's efficiency on the map, making sure that you use water meth injection to keep the manifold cool so you aren't creating a condition where you are just robbing the engine of HP due to an excessive heat production due to the fact that you are over spinning the blower.

Who on here still uses w/m injection? The dedicated thread is really quiet now. Wondering if people have gotten away from it for some reason.

Not that I'm saying I need a reason. I'm still addicted to it and I own that.

At what point would you need to start utilizing it?

Hmm... I would say around the 10psi mark. That's where like @12TRDTacoma said, you start building quite a bit of heat in the manifold. Especially for those in warmer climates.

Gotcha that makes sense since I believe I read that graph he posted and it says 6-8 psi is the sweet spot for efficiency. So anything at or below a 2.5 pulley

Yeah. I would say so. Although I think there are some on here who run 2.5 or less without w/m injection. Those who do can confirm what their boost is.

Anything over 8.5 is less than ideal for this blower and you should start looking into exterior fueling setups like water meth injection for these blowers.

If there's an abundance around you, you could make the jump over to E85 and that would remedy the issue of over spinning, but there is always an issue with needing to compensate for the excess in fueling, tuning, and then on top of that being close to an area where there are stations all around you or buying by the barrel.

You've been running quite a lot of boost for a while, your build is amazing haha, have you noticed any long term issues? Or as long as you control the heat your just fine?

I know a guy on Instagram who went with e85 and I think an HP Tune on a 2.3". He got great numbers. Just shy of 400whp.

I'm as surprised as anyone, no issues to speak of. There is some AFR control issues, but I'm waiting to see if the mods I recently did have remedied that. I think controlling the heat/knock and regular oil changes go a long way to preserving the engine.

Gas here is finally under $6 / gallon for premium and e85 is at 3.30/ g. So I know I will lose all of my fuel efficiency but with that price difference I might still come out ahead. Although im still stuck on this terrible bullydog tune until my exhaust goes on next week then I'll have @JustDSM tune me up
