Draw it up on cad, or mock up on cardboard, send pics, and a few known dimensions

Initial mock up for the customer

Speaking of AMG...and I couldn't get a good photo, only had my phone and had to zoom to all hell...but I was behind an SL63 this morning on my way to work. He'd zoomed past, top down, wonderful fall day, doing it right. But he hadn't counted on the trees shedding their leaves and suddenly he's all over the road in front of me, leaves are raining down and he's trying to get 'em out of the car as they keep falling down filling his cabin. I rarely laugh out loud at things like that but it got me.
You'd think after dropping about $200K you'd have more of a, "fuck it," attitude. I feel like I would. Enjoy the drive, leaves and all.

    New driveway friend.

Only cause he lives around the corner from me, he can conveniently come by two or three different times as I make adjustments

    First mock up

    IMG_0760.jpg

He'll snap a pic with the adjustment needed and instead of running with it, I'll do one more mock up

    IMG_0765.jpg

And showing me the clearance for the rear as it'll need to be slimmer than the front

    IMG_0756.jpg

    IMG_0758.jpg

Trophies in the background are from awards he's won for previous low rider builds so I'm glad to be a part of this one

This is a random one, if you wanna play, curious what the sizes of your registration (and insurance) cards are in your state.
I was talking to a friend who was making his mom a little glovebox holder and we were wondering out loud if all / most registration and insurance cards were the same size. (I feel like its not standardized.)
Example, here in VA my reg is 3.75 x 7.5 and insurance was just about 3.5 x 5.5.

I mean, can we really confirm?

Why not take a pic of your registration sized up with a ruler.

I know what size they are here, I was wondering what sizes they are in other states, so confirmation of that could be provided by measuring yours basically.
(Friend is also in VA if that's what ya meant. Basically he was thinking if he wanted to make more holders, would they fit other states' cards. My bad, I may not have explained it.)
