17-20mpg. If I’m heavy footed 15-17mpg. What do you get op since the numbers you gave aren’t mpg?

What others said. I pretty much average 18 MPG on the regular. I'll break 20 if I'm a good boy and let everyone pass me. Lowest ever was around 15.8 MPG. Standard 4.0 V6 5 Speed Auto.

    2.7L / 2WD / single cab / 5 lug / automatic. Mid 25 to mid 26 (mostly high 25). Reached a little over 27 once, but don't know why/how.

Prior, I had a 2006 4cyl Ranger (2.3L - the one made by Mazda). Manual/RWD. Consistently got at least 27 with a high of 30.

I always check MPG with each fill mostly to monitor for any sudden drops that might indicate problems.

My average is 18.5 mpg. I've had it as low as 9.3 mpg in the winter with short trips. And as high as 23.9 mpg on long trips where mph was between 60 and 65 mph. These are calculated numbers of gallons used versus miles driven. Like others have said listing miles per tank, is not the best method to use.
Also during the winter and short trips where the truck doesn't reach operating temperature, I end up with a creamy white sludge in the oil fill cap. It gradually goes away once I spend some time on the highway.

2013 4.0L 4X4, bone stock. 22.4 to 24.5. Most driving at 45-50 mph, and a high percentage at 6000 to 7500 feet altitude.

From what ive seen mpg ranges wildly.
1st gen 2.7 around 25+ auto or manual
2 gen low as 9mpg and high as claimed 24mpg???

    My 08 xrunner 1grfe 4.0/6sp lucky to see 17mpg ( 2wd with ridiculous freeway gears & 245 45 18)
I wonder if the "DUAL vvt-i" in later gen2 1grfe 4.0 does better mpg?

    minor tweaks
Just stopping and filling on when the light comes on compared to running it lower (into the low zone) can have noticeable difference in MPT which is why miles per tank is useless for comparing mileage between two different vehicles, MPT can be useful to compare your own mileage one tank to another "if" you're careful to stop and fill up using a very similar amount of fuel each time.

It's also why the industry uses MPG.

I usually get between 18.5 around town and 19~21 mpg depending on the highway I'm on. Best was 23mpg going a constant 45mph for almost the entire tank. I'm an easy driver. 4.0 Mostly stock truck. The tonneau cover gave me about a mile per gallon improvement in mixed driving.

I’m 1 tick above 1/4 at 350 miles. 2014 2.7 MT AC 5-lug, shell, stock tires. My light comes on ~ 18 gallons down, probably around 440 this time. Typically 22-24 mpg, worst is 21, best is 27.
