We got youth weekend here and muzzleloader hope my son lets me take a buck now new guy came in this morning.

If it's any consolation, it's in the low 70's here today.

 

We made it to a high of 41 today. It was 77 yesterday.

 

Here's a small clip of over a minute of video I took yesterday. I broke my own cardinal rule and went hiking during hunting season. There was a small woodlot I wanted to check that didn't have much promise, but my OCD wanted to cross it off the list. Did that with a walking stick and decided to check one other piece of the huge woodlot behind us. I found the edge of a nice bedding area with dense low cedars and was looking for sign when a small sapling started whipping around about 30 yds into the cedars. I looked thru my binos, couldn't see anything, put them down, and there was a nice 8 point walking right to me. He stopped at 15 yds when I reached into my pocket to get my phone out. He didn't know what I was and let me video for over a minute, then worked off. He did snort once he got a bit out of sight, so he may have scented me.

Sunday morning we have a good wind and a big temp drop, so I'll go in then and have him make a fool of me again.

Apparently I can't upload the video, says I have the wrong extension. It's an MP4 file.

 

That's coming here over the next two days. Sunday with be barely above freezing.

A busy day.
About 79 degrees and a great day to drive the wagon -- but I mowed 7 lawns instead. Still nice to be outside.

Brought the trailer home and loaded the 2 oil tanks, I even used 4 low when driving in the yard.
The yard slopes so I had to lift the tanks uphill.



The tank that was outdoors (at least 50 years) had these nice feet on the legs, probably 7" round.

That is cool -- bees scare the out of me...

The neighbor behind the garage has bees, I peek around the corner but won't get within 50 feet of them.

Mrs Green just got home from visiting the B-I-L, brought me pot roast & potato.

 

Mrs. Crowley threw a frozen pizza from Aldi's in the oven.

 

Dining Table Build update:
Alright work crew, the bottom of the table, legs and skirt are complete and stained. I will be flipping it shortly to work on final sanding and staining the top. Then Polyurethane and sand multiple times. This is the last pic before the finished product!

 

The deluxe take & bake pizzas (not frozen) from Aldi's are really good, and only around $8.

Mrs Green unfortunately doesn't like:

peppers
mushrooms
olives
tomato chunks
spicy things
beans
chili
hot sausage
and on & on...


So I get them when she goes to visit her mother.
