Is this a rare 1st Gen?

I have never seen a regular cab, color matched, with the step bed

I'd say being that it's a single cab stepside with those options and everything that it is a bit of a rarity, yeah.

 

My sister used to have a single cab, color matched, step side a few years ago. Now she has an extra cab, color matched, step side.

 

I don't think I've ever seen an 01-04 with the stepside and the 98-00s i saw weren't 4x4 so I would say its pretty rare. With 84,000 miles and a price like that I would buy it. The paint looks like its in great shape.

 

would that have to be a custom job? if i remember correctly, the limited trim wasnt available in a regular cab which is the only trim that offered that paint scheme. that also doesnt have power windows, or the seats found in a limited


i also dont think the step side was offered in the 01-04 models. so maybe that was taken from an older truck and painted? The flares dont look stock either so it must have got paint at some point to match those.

 

yeah I have never seen an 01-04 stepside, I didn't even think they made them. Seems rare to me..

 

Yeah, but not too many are single cabs with these specific options.

 

ive seen a tan one exactly like that one before. that was the ONLY one ive seen, and I live in hawaii, so yeah. def. rare. there's seriously just as many tacomas as there are people down here lol

yeah the step side is a little gay but this is the first one i have seen that i might drive cause it so clean. plus the fact that its a 4x4 auto is even rarer for a single cab.

 

Agreed. Don't see a point in it. And just don't really like how they look...makes the truck seem so anorexic!

It looks like the owner had the flares painted to match because they are a different color red than the rest of the truck. Or they are just really faded. The stepside came out in 2000 which means most of the ones out there are going to be 01-04 body styling.

 

I happen to know mr. Hubler and one of his boys that drives an NSX around indy.

they are rare.ive only seen maybe 2 in person.i think the stepside only came in color matched

 

I want to say that was Gary jr driving the NSX. I caught him at a stoplight when I was heading to Dryer honda in indy looking for my canyon clips for the R1.
Talked to him for a sec before the light changed about his NSX and was off to do business.
