I'll probably make a full post with details. But the water tank is what you see mounted to the front track rail, it's an air pressurized tank from the brand Waterport, and takes up basically no storage space this way. I ran a braided hose from there to the back and installed the RV quick release in my storage bin as you see.

Oh, I thought you'd made a custom tank in the box and got really interested. Still, looks good, good job with the fitting.

Did the Big Levels 4x4 trail in George Washington National Forest. Got high centered in one spot and had to break out the winch.

New battery, gas cap and blower motor resistor because A/C only works on high setting.

Fluid change after work. Front diff, rear diff and the transfer case. Went with Mobil 1 75w90 for all three gear boxes. I’ve read thru so many threads/posts in the last week in this forum to get “how to’s and tips” I don’t have a clue who to thank - so Thanks to all of the original posters for sharing experiences, suggestions, part numbers and torque specs. I sprayed all six of the fill and drain plugs every morning after driving to work - each one came out without a breaker bar or an impact gun…. Drained fluid was tinted brown but still clear. Only the rear drain plug magnet had a few very fine metal flakes - no chunks. Was surprised to fund that the transfer case drain did not have a magnet…. Took two hours start to finish cleanup.

I’m still holding off on my inner boot fix…. I’ve read good and bad experiences with rebooting using the ‘cone’ to stretch the boot over the spider bearing - and I’m not buying the pneumatic tool which will get used maybe this one time. Also hard to justify buying/installing new cv axles because of one small tear on top of the inner boot…. For now I’ve cleaned the boot thoroughly and wrapped it with Gorilla tape. It’s held very well for two weeks so I’m hoping I can make it to spring and have my final decision on what to do. Too many horror stories involving aftermarket axles, so its going to be either the real Toyota Reboot kit (keeping the stock axles) or swap them both out for new Toyota axles which will be much more costly. Talked to a Toyota tech last week and he advised if I go the replacement route that I should do BOTH at the same time - thats like $700.- for parts and doing it myself. And thats not gonna happen before winter hits up here.

^You're supposed to remove the circlip and hammer the tripod bearing off the shaft. Stretching the boot that much is a no-no.

The whole job is doable without even pulling the inner joint cup out of the diff. You don't need a fancy crimping tool either. Just get some stainless zip-ties or even large and small hose clamps.

There's no time saved with doing both CV axles at the same time.

Reboot kits (last time I looked) are also on back order. But the reboot kits for the GX460 are readily available.

Washed and waxed the truck. Something I don't get to do often enough. The wax is the only thing holding the paint on the truck, especially on the roof. Toyota makes so many vehicles, you think they'd figured out the paint job by now.
Had the tires rotated at Discount Tire Yuma Palms at about 6K miles. About 6/32" left on the Falken Wildpeaks, time to start a new tire fund. Can't complain about the Falken Wildpeaks or Discount Tire. These Falken tires were a great deal a few years ago. They're good tires and the price really went up.

Battery and blower resistor I've done. Any back story on the gas cap? Just curious.

The old cap wasn’t getting that “click” and felt worn out. The resistor didn’t work for me, fan still only works on high.

Repainted and hammered out my dented chipped white bumper with bed liner to match the front bumper. Temp fix till I find the rear bumper I want.

Pulled the rear third-member to figure out why the ARB locker was leaking air. Copper line at the bulkhead was almost completely pinched shut. Either way I replaced the whole seal assembly and seals and upgraded to the newer bulkhead fitting and now it works again!
