This all came at me today starting at 530 am. I have attached an image of my codes, there is a vibration from 20-40 and 60-80 under acceleration only. It does not stop with 4x4 engaged. Both front wheels have play at 3 and 9. When i got gas the truck refused to start until the 5th key turn. Tires and balance are under 3 months old. 2013 4.0 4x4 sport crew….300k. Currently scouting the forums but I don’t even know which issue to address first.

I’ve cleared the codes and I’ll report after I get the new purge valve in. Thank you for the advice

The interval dependent vibration was caused by a failed u-joint. The needle bearings in 2 cups in the rear u-joint were dry powder. Now on to the emissions codes.

Out of curiosity, and not placing blame. Just pure curiosity.
How often did you grease the u-joints. I try to grease mine 2x a year.
I’m at 170k, and mine seem good so far. But you have 300k, I’m only asking to see if you made it 300k without greasing regularly, or with greasing regularly.

TnShooter, twice a year like yourself. Since they were oem, and never gave me trouble, I didn’t even think of the u-joints. But now the panic has subsided, where the hell did I put that smoke machine? Lol
