Saw a guy yesterday who was parked at the offramp into the weigh station just north of town. It is a reduced visibility spot as it is on a curve. THe guy was parked about a car length from the highway, with the front half of his car into the gore and the back half in the single lane. If a semi was to turn into the weigh station, they would have no choice but to hit the car.
I know the guy who was working the scale (was there but not open, so the window covers were down), so I laid on my air horn to make him look outside.

Edit: screen shot from my dash cam. He was further into the off ramp than I thought. Keep in mind, he was at a full stop just sitting there.

The lot to the right is truck parking for McDonalds. There's even a sign that says "Truck Parking".

I was watching some Arkansas police chases on Youtube (very entertaining), that led to videos of the crashes that sometimes occur during said chases and it's pretty tragic to watch, some lowlife steals a car then it's like a grand theft auto video game as they try (almost always unsuccessfully) to evade and they frequently take out other motorists during the chase and/or carjack another vehicle. I was never an angel when it came to traffic infractions but running from the cops in a city should be an attempted murder charge, that's kinda harsh I know but there's a fair chance they kill someone while trying to get away. It was a wakeup call, I drive far more defensively after watching and keep the doors locked which I didn't always do. There's a good chance you wouldn't see one of those situations coming they occur so fast.

Another thing I realized, don't try to run from ASP. Those dudes appear to all be aspiring NASCAR drivers and they defiantly get plenty of practice. They're pros at putting a lowlife car thief in the weeds on their roof.

Don't remember where it was, but I will always remember one. It was a small pickup running with a riding lawn mower in the bed. They were doing so good until they ran a red and a semi made them disappear.
