Thanks! I wasn’t really planning on going with hard cases but I ended up finding a really good deal on them. They have been awesome for commuting.

I’ve used the Ram x-grips for years including on a m/c, bike, and autos without issue. The little rubber feet fall off and disappear and without them, the metal feet chew up cases, but other than that…

But I also wasn’t aware about the stabilizer issue, but couldn’t find anything online in a quick search.

Switch to quadlock. Now Ive got a mount in my truck too. And I put a mount for the Zumo XT. Everything is interchangeable now

When I was running mine I just put a tab of super glue under each rubber foot and they never fell off again.

I destroyed the camera years ago on an iphone 6 and later on an x max running it, though. It'll mess up the optical stabilizer in the lens and you just get these wavy lines running through the image any time you try to take a picture. After the second wrecked phone I stopped using the mounts except in very short durations when I needed to GPS speedo something.

Search phone camera vibration damage, most newer phones with high end cameras are susceptible to it.

I will always recommend the Peak Design mount. I have one on my Versys and also in both my cars.

Thank you! I did search, but apparently didn’t put the right terms in and came up with nothing.

The X-grips actually come with glue. Stupid me, I just don’t use it :-/

I actually just got a new iPhone and specifically got a Pro to get the good camera. I’ve been looking forward to it and would be very disappointed if I damaged it.

    It's a super nifty system. I think it's a Nicerack.
