Am I going to regret this? Probably, but it's time to change my setup a bit. I'm located in Ball Ground.

If you're here for the goods and the prices:

    1. Autohome Maggiolina Grand Tour (small size) - $1800
    https://www.autohomeus.com/products/maggiolina-roof-top-tent/maggiolina-grand-tour/

    2. Overland Vehicle Systems 270 Degree Driver's Side Awning - $500
    https://overlandvehiclesystems.com/...e-dark-gray-cover-with-black-cover-universal/

If you want more descriptions and pictures, here you go:

Up for sale is my Autohome Maggiolina Grand Tour. If you're not familiar, Autohome is an Italian manufacturer of high end roof top tents, but they're not well known in the US. The Maggie (as they're known) is constructed of a reinforced fiberglass shell with Dralon Fabric walls. The lifting mechanism is a scissor jack style that's operated with a hand crank. The fiberglass makes the shell very durable and easy to clean while providing some insulative properties. The fabric is breathable while still being naturally waterproof. There's enough room in the tent when it's closed to hold your bedding and clothing and other small items.

    upload_2023-10-29_13-0-55.jpg

I've owned this tent for about a year and a half after purchasing it from a gentleman in Kentucky who had it mounted to an FJ. I've spent probably 45 nights in it total, usually a week at a time, and it's been fantastic. I've never had to worry about water even in rain storms, it's held up without issue to high winds on the NC coast and looks pretty much the same as the day I bought it.

Overall it's in good condition, but there are some things that I'll note here for potential buyers to be aware of:

    1. While I've only slept in in about 45 nights, it's lived on my truck since the day I bought it which means it's seen plenty of time on the tight, tree branch laden trails we have here in the southeast. It cleans up very nicely, but I'm sure some of the trail pin stripping would take some elbow grease and rubbing compound to get them out of the clear coat on the shell.

    2. The tent fabric could probably be cleaner than it is, but it looks the same as when I bought it and I've never bothered to see what it would take to clean it.

    3. There are 2 places on the tent where it appears that a factory latch was removed for some reason (rear left and rear right). Not sure why they were removed, but I'm also not sure why they were there in the first place as the two latches on the front and the one on the back hold the tent closed without issue.

    4. The gentleman I purchased the tent from lost the handle that's use to raise the tent. He had someone attach a 1/4 drive socket to the stud on the crank and then was using a ratchet to raise and lower the tent. I've done the same, and while it worked fine I recently purchased a generic spinning handle and welded a 1/4 drive extension to it. Is it pretty? That's subjective. Does it work faster than a ratchet with less effort? Yes.

    5. It does not come with the Autohome ladder, but instead a collapsible aluminum ladder that's capable of holding my 275lb self with no problem.

    6. The tent has both solid and mesh bug screen doors sewn into it. They can be rolled up and held out of the way with elastic straps / buckles or velcro straps. All the zippers work fine as do the buckles and straps. The mesh doors do have some wear and tear, but it's all located on portions of the screen that hang below the tent when they're zipped shut. The triangular windows at either end have screen on them as well and they have no holes or tears. I've never had a problem with bugs in the tent.

    7. There are a few places where the clearcoat and paint are worn due to the previous owner sliding the tent on and off of his vehicle.

    More pictures:

I have the original hardware (for mounting the tent to round or thin square bars) and will include the hardware I used to mount the tent to the aluminum extrusion of my Martin Rack.

    upload_2023-10-29_13-24-24.jpg

For an idea of size this is the tent on my 5x12 trailer:

    upload_2023-10-29_13-27-34.png

And here are the factory provided dimensions using imaginary numbers:

    upload_2023-10-29_13-26-34.png

    67Kg is about 147lbs.

Now on to the Overland Vehicle Systems 270 Degree driver's side awning. It's this:

    https://overlandvehiclesystems.com/...e-dark-gray-cover-with-black-cover-universal/

I hate to admit it, but I've used this way more when doing yard work around my property in the summer than I have at camp. That doesn't mean it's not great, I just haven't taken advantage of it the way I imagined I would. It was used in high winds on the NC coast and, just like the tent, held up incredibly well using some drybags filled with sand to anchor it down. It's like new, comes with the factory provided brackets/poles and has no rips or tears.

I have a set of Bam Beds for sale for a short bed with the extension.

The header board and extension legs are not carpeted, but have an extra box of carpet squares for them that’s included in the sale.

Kept going back and forth between running these or my decked system once I get my GFC .

But ultimately decided to do a custom build out with 80/20.

    Located in Bluffton, SC

    Pick up - $300

I'll take these! I have a 1 1/4" front riser and 4 stacked washers in back, but 3/4 would be the sweet spot.

What’s the weight on that bad boy?

Smoked a deer on my way to work this AM. I was originally gonna go with a lo-pro style bumper/winch, but now that I’ve got a bit of body, grille and headlight damage I may go full Monty. Won’t know the extent of the damage until the sun comes up and I can get home to start pulling things apart.

    Thanks broski.

Wasn’t the biggest impact, but she was a big gurl. She popped up after the tumbles and bolted. If she hadn’t I’d have field dressed her and gone into work late.

Hoping I can salvage some of the plastic parts, mainly the grille. Most all the supporting tidbits inside the grille/bumper are shattered and gone so I won’t know until later.

Yeah that blows. Most like will need that grills support bracket. I see a shit ton of deer all over the place up here. It’s a slow drive in the foggy morning….I am amazed at how many people haul ass up here. But then again, if you notice the amount of front end damage people have; it makes sense.
