Yeah, the "no sex before marriage" ship sailed for me a while ago; I would never marry a woman I'd never had sex with, and this may seem kind of politically correct to say, but I feel like it's the same reason you wouldn't spend thirty grand or more on a new vehicle without test driving it.

On another note, I would once again like to say that I fucking hate unmarked police vehicles with a passion that burns with the intensity of a thousand suns...

I mentioned right after it happened that I got pulled over in August of this year, by an unmarked green Charger for "swerving and speeding"; I had taken Amanda to see a particularly late showing of the new Indiana Jones movie on Friday night, and was driving back to my house in the wee hours of Saturday morning after dropping her off at the aforementioned psycho bitch roommate's apartment...

The swerving? God forbid I should take my eyes off the road for two seconds to adjust the air-conditioner or the radio and briefly cross the yellow line on a deserted stretch of road. The same shit happened in Jersey last winter...

The speeding? I thought I was being tailgated by some prick in a Charger and had no idea it was a cop, so I sped up. He's lucky he caught me in a "speeding up" mood rather than a "brake check" mood... :luvya:

So, at the time I got pulled over in August, I could have sworn the green Charger had the standard issue back steel wheels with chrome center caps that all cop cars have. Just last week, I saw the same green Charger that pulled me over conducting a traffic stop on a Jeep Cherokee about a tenth of a mile from where I got pulled over.

This green Charger has what appear to be black aftermarket custom wheels rather than standard cop car steelies, so it looks like a customized civilian Charger rather than a police car unless the goddamn emergency lights are on.

I live in Warrington Township, where this traffic stop took place (less than a mile from my house, in fact), and the local police department has two unmarked Chargers that look nothing like police cars. There's the green one that pulled me over, and a burgundy one that also has black custom wheels.

There are so many reasons why using these cars for traffic stops is a bad idea!

I personally think that using marked police vehicles in a highly visible location is a far better tactic to stop speeders than hiding and/or using unmarked vehicles.

This fan is probably at least 65 years old; I found sitting next to someone's driveway and who knows how long it's been outside. It sat in the back of my truck, in the rain, overnight! After all that, it still runs quieter and smoother than any fan I've ever owned!

I would agree, but it seems like if there's a good time to have sex, after marriage is a great time to get it on... :D

Also, what do you think of unmarked cars being used for traffic stops and routine patrols? I believe that patrol cars should be highly visible so a citizen in need of assistance can flag one down and knows it's actually a cop car...

I could marry a woman and never sleep with her.
I honestly wouldn’t care, I’m passed all that.
But then again, I don’t think marriage is even necessary.
So the “after marriage” part is a moot point with me.

I don’t have any problems admitting I have “different” views than others.
Some may even call me “odd”. I can be just as faithful not married, as I could married.
Just not sure I see the point in it.
I hate going to other peoples wedding, why the hell would “I” go to “my own”.

I guess the point is, I’m going to be me.
She (wife/ who ever) is going to them.
If we can do that and “live” together. - Great.

If not, I’m just going to continue to be me.
I’m not worried about any of it. Sleeping you, living with you….
    Not worried about it all.

I don’t care if they are marked or not.
You’re either breaking the law or you aren’t.
Those who want to, will. Marked or not.

Remember, one witness is too many:cool:
In which case, marked/unmarked is “too many”.

What pisses me off a lot more than the fact that it was unmarked is the fact that the cop was tailgating me and generally being a douchebag; I had no idea that it was a cop, and wasn't in the mood to get tailgated by some dickhead in a muscle car, so I sped up.

If I was in a really bad mood, I would have given the one-finger salute out the rear slider.

And for the record, I didn't get a ticket or even a written warning. Hell, I wasn't even told how fast I was going, just that I was "speeding". All the cop really cared about was that I wasn't drinking, but I still really hate driving at night now because of that incident.

A similar thing happened back in late 2016, though I didn't get pulled over, and it was a clearly marked police SUV (specifically a Chevy Tahoe); I was literally minding my own business and this Tahoe comes out of nowhere and starts riding my ass. I was seven years younger and seven years dumber back then, and had it not been a marked vehicle, I would have slammed on the brakes. That's how close this cop was. I had a functioning rear-facing dashcam at that time, and when I showed my parents the dashcam footage, my dad came to the conclusion that it was a just bored cop running my plate and waiting to see if I'd swerve so he could pull me over for "suspicion of drunk driving"; I'd had a beer and a glass of wine earlier that night if I remember correctly, but by then it was for sure out of my system (especially at my weight), and I don't think I'd done anything worthy of being aggressively tailgated by a cop and having my license plate run.

I can’t say I’ve had any “out of nowhere” experiences with police.
99% of all my dealing with police have been good.

There were a couple of exceptions. But I don’t let it bother me.
That’s the passed. I don’t let those passed experiences get in the way of my dealing with them now.

    I can understand your situation.
We all deal with things differently.
So I can see how you’d be a bit nervous now.

I have never gotten my license suspended, nor have I ever gotten any points on my license...

That said, I have been pulled over nine times since May 2017! :anonymous:

For the record, I got my license in May 2011 and did not get pulled once until May 2017 (6 years); I did not get pulled over in 2018 or 2022, and I really have no idea what changed after 2016...

Needless to say, being polite goes a long way, and I was let off with warning four times. One time in New Jersey, I got pulled over for 81 in a 65, but the trooper wrote a much lesser ticket that resulted in no points on my license and didn't increase my insurance rates, so I paid it (a measly $55).

The other four times I got a ticket, I took it to court and successfully got it reduced.

My luck has been the result of (A) being polite to cops, (B) knowing good lawyers who represent me either pro bono or at a reduced cost, and (C) never getting a ticket in the same jurisdiction more than once... :D
