    A few upgrades recently.

Built a source power switch for charging my power station (vehicle or shore power).

Then, decided to improve my winch's free spool access cover. When I made it originally, it was supposed to be temporary anyway. I relocated my license plate mounting it with a hinge.

    The old:

Purchased a Pro Style Grille. But I wasn't very happy with it.
So I decided to convert it with a 2022 Tacoma grill I saw another member here that did this and I kind of liked it.Now the problem is that it makes my headlight look like crap!
Well time to order a new set of lights!

Upgraded the brakes, Tundra swap. Found some 13WLs at a boneyard, which I rebuilt and painted, went with Bosch rotors because Amazon Prime discount and shipping saved me many $$. Also went with the Tacoma-to-Tundra Hard Brake Line Upgrade Kit from Adventure Taco. Pretty easy swap overall, even rebuilding the calipers was straight forward.
Also found a pair of nice headrests at the same boneyard and associated interior trim pieces I was missing.

    Hi!

    Parts:
The switch has 8 poles which allowed me to wire up a "2-in, 1-out" arrangement. To make it work, The actual 2-out are connected via jumper wires.
    upload_2023-10-29_8-14-27.png

I bought the project box after receiving and measuring the switch and inlet. After figuring out the component locations, I then drilled the side holes which would be for the inverter-in and power-out cables.
    upload_2023-10-29_8-18-43.png

    upload_2023-10-29_8-19-25.png

I have a simple, cheap label printer so I decided to add specific switch position identifiers.
    upload_2023-10-29_8-21-19.png

The common output goes to the charger adapter for my power station. The the input plugs into the AC out of the inverter.

Let me know if you have any questions.

One of the best mods I did on my old Hilux after I went with a rear locker, 63" springs and 37" tires.

I've never rebuilt a Tacoma engine, but with GM and Ford engines, I always used Fel Pro Blue Head Gaskets. :notsure:
I just bought a bunch of Toyota OEM gaskets and materials to do the Valve Cover Job. $284.00 bucks worth.
I hope the Fel Pro gaskets hold up for you. I never had any issues with them.

Hope everyone’s weekend is going great. Feeling some cooler weather down here in south Texas. Stoked on that! Ended up refreshing some paint on the front sway bar and tow hooks. Ordered up some energy suspension sway bar bushings and hardware to complete the refresh. Still have to torque all hardware down to specs but give’s an idea of it finished. New Brakes coming next !

Seems to be when the highs are in the single digits for a few days. Idk where it actually freezes at but something in the vent system is blocked causing turbo drain to block up and dump oil into the exhaust.

Glad I could help a friend out. It was his fault for not having the truck looked at before he bought it, but he paid too much for it to take a huge loss.
