Yep, actually was thinking of a metal door. Getting the garage insulated too. All $$$$ though, but good $$$ because it means my house is worth more and easier to live in.

You might want help getting door+frame installed. I have seen it done and it involves some tweaking of the bendy frame so that the door closes. I am not mocking you ... you will find the install process to be a subtle process.

All we need is some precipitation....... Snowed at sunrise a few weeks ago randomly. Nothing stuck was just a real light dusting. Almost just looked like ash from a forest fire.

Snowbowl has had a few light dusting too. Just enough to look up and see some white on the peaks

Nice. That summer was a quick one. You think we will be seeing snow like last year since they are calling for a El nino winter? I am thinking its just going to be a cold dry one. We will see some snow but not like last year.

Not sure. It was a pretty dry summer as well. Last summer we had a good bit of rain and flooding after the fires. Then that super wet winter. If this winter is anything like summer it will be a relatively light one. But we’ll see haha

Dont go liking that post @Yacob_D I did not get to the sliders this weekend. My buddy was out of town so I couldnt get the tube bent. Ended up finishing the flooring in the wifes truck. Then errands all weekend with a bday party. I have put off hopes of getting the rear bumper welded and mounted. I will have just the weekend before the 18th to try and get all the 4runner ready to go. Fingers crossed.

Last year was actually rare, it was la nina(typically drier but colder) but we got dumped on. This year they are calling it a full blown El nino, which is typically warmer but wetter. How much snow we get all depends on just how much warmer it is. All signs point towards it being a good snow year but it can be a really fine line.

If you want to nerd out about weather…Check out this article on OpenSnow!
    https://opensnow.com/news/post/enso-el-ni-o-la-ni-a-explained

edit: theres also some really interesting data maps from NOAA showing that northern AZ has high higher snowfall than average during el nino years and that during the last 13 recorded strong el nino years, northern AZ has had mostly snowy year as opposed to dry, ~8/13. So chances for a good year lean towards yes. But its still a crapshoot because its weather.
