Cheapest beer when I was in school: Brown Derby at 99 cents a sixer.
Coors was about $2, and sometimes You needed to eat too.
You could get two big burgers for a buck, and 99 cent sixpack of beer guaranteed to make you fart like a cow.

Best beer when I was in school:
Molson Canadian, but you had to walk across the bridge to Ontario to get it.
No Idea the cost. I wasn't buying at the time.
I recall paying 50 cents for a Molson draft, in an actual bar in Winnipeg.
    1971 it was.

Don't forget lead soldered copper water lines. I grew up in a house with those and I turned out just fine...

Wait, there might be something to that... :anonymous:

I actually have one of those inside in the basement. Can't do one around here outside as the clothes will smell like cow crap and pesticides

My uncle owned a Raleigh bicycle shop :D

He did try selling Harley-Davidson motorcycles but back then, he believed in "put money where your mouth is" & gave it up after the greasy hippies were mainly his clients. Nowadays, nobody cares where the bread comes from. :(

I don't know if it's still the case, as I haven't been that way in years, but I found it terribly amusing to find out the Jack Daniel's was distilled in a dry county!
