I wonder how a turbo will affect the resale value of a 4th gen when it is 5 years old with 130,000 miles. A 5 year old Taco has been pricey since the 1st gen.

Why wouldn't you use latest current data for a report / article ? Makes zero sense. You want data from 1968 Camaro days ?
Less repairs, would hope so when one windshield crack failure for an inspection can set you back a grand these days. I'm finished with this, it's quite simple if you read the article, I'm not explaining it anymore.

I loved my Blue SR5 - but white is supposedly the safest color and I’m pretty safety oriented right now. Taco and airbags saved my life. Or at least significant injury. Walked away with cuts and bruises.

Some of the changes for 2024 I like but I figure it’s going to be 6 mos + before you can get one for a decent price - and I’m not a fan of buying first year of new gen. Hopefully the value of the 2023s don’t crater too fast.

I would give the new platform 2 years after the hybrids are produced and selling… minimum. Unless you like being an early adopter.

I've been a technician for 20 years, at the same shop for over 15 years.

Tacomas get oil changes and brake pads.

Electric cars get headlight bulbs and cabin filters

    Jeeps put kids through college

Saying “repair prices are up 19%!!!” and tying that to complexity alone without considering the broader context is misleading. It’s not my fault you chose a misleading article that’s easy to see through
