Remember, it’s a lander that’ll be testing this tech out. Nothing in lunar orbit from my understanding.

There are 4 BE-4s installed on Vulcan. I imagine there may be a couple more close to production completion.

I just used the CSM as a reference for velocity to ballpark the delay and error amounts. As any lander brakes the gps accuracy will go up but it will remain delayed. Also even landers typically do orbital adjustments before the deorbit burn so radar mapping the terrain leading to the lz shouldn’t be a problem. We’ll need to become experts at this anyway unless we want to preposition gps satellites near every prospective body in the solar system. I’m not saying we can’t use it for the moon but that it’s use might not be any great advantage even there.

Per the above, the 1st 3 ships produced or being produced:
Ship 1 was intended for cert 1 but sent back for modification.
Ship two originally intended for cert-2 to be modified and used as test article.
Ship 3 modified and to be used for cert-1.
A later ship which incorporates the new design rather than the ad hoc modifications will undergo testing to qualify the design for subsequent missions.
What’s unclear is whether cert-2 will launch using ship 1, ship 4, or a later model. My guess would be ship 1.
Also, this is just boiled down from the article rather than any new confirmed information but thanks for finding it.

Let’s hope FWS doesn’t need to write a ten page report on every chunk of debris they find. And also that no surfers get skewered on rebar off the beach as that would be tragic on several counts.

A page or 2 back, I posted a statement that indicted FWS was zeroing in on the deluge system…

They just seem to have a number of people and small loaders out on the mudflats either looking at or picking up debris from the pad. I just find it odd that they(whoever “they” might be) took 6 months to get around to picking the debris up. Maybe a report was needed before that could happen. I. E. How does a bureaucracy replace a light bulb??? I’m sure it seems to some that my posts seem conflicted but it’s because they are. I recognize the need for 3rd party oversight while also recognizing and being likewise frustrated by the inherent inefficiency it entails. “Fly safe”.

And Boeing support has resumed. Exactly how it goes with them.

Boeing support for Starliner or NASA support for Boeing? I have to wonder if the ramp up on the Artemis II main stage is back timed from the planned launch so the process can proceed unabated become more routine.

When I made parts for NASA or Boeing and a change had to be made it would start an inquiry that would take 30-90 days before the change was approved and we could start making the parts again.

SpaceX would get back to us that day or the next with approval or denial.
