Got a new drastically over grown lot to cut, picture from about 30% done and all the way done. I am very impressed with my little dixon ZT, definatly pulling the blades to sharpen them next few days.

The owner said last time it was cut was mid August, I would say it averaged between 12-18 inches high, took about 2.5-3 hours but a good bit of that time that was locating and removing bricks, concrete chunks, random bits of lumber and tree dead limbs. I did cut down three trees about 6 inches in diameter so that also took some time. I think I can knock it out in about 30-40 minutes in future since I will be mowing it once a month.

I don't know anything about inverters, maybe @koditten does.

I didn't respond to the question because I didn't understand the question.

I didn't understand the "145 volt input" part.

Why is there 145 volts on the input side?

Usually no voltage is produced. Sometimes you can re flash the generator windings to get it back working. I know this works on standard gennie, but do not know if it works with an inverter type.

It's the best I can offer.

    Thanks
The generator attached to the engine produces 145Volts AC a little above idle. It then inputs that voltage on the line side into the inverter; then the inverter then controls the throttle and chops the output into a nice consistent 120volts AC on the load side of the inverter at the outlets.

It’s more of an electronics question than a mechanical question. Given the fact that it dies when any load is applied and it won’t rev. up on max demand I think I have a damaged inverter.

Do you think I should throw parts at the inverter and replace it or should I start at the electric throttle control that is a slave to the inverter?

    I'm guessing all there is, is a solinoid that pushes/pulls to full throttle/idle. I'd test that 1st. That's usually a $12 part.

Got home yesterday and got Cole to get the mower with the Kohler on it and see if it was still acting right, well I think one of the coils from Amazon have gone bad and it cut off in the yard. I let it sit for 30 minutes and the starter would not turn it over, just click. It's been doing that for about a year and decided yesterday it was retiring for good. I went and got a 1/2" extension and took a little frustration out on it and nothing.

After supper I swapped the starter out with a known good one and it fired up no problems which made me order genuine Kohler coils this time.

I replaced this starter in 2019 :angrygirl:

It would click, even while beating on it.....nothing else.

Did you run a hot wire directly from the battery to the Exciter post?

This takes the key switch and all the safeties out of the equation.

The key ground wire has to travel thru 3 switches and your PTO switch before you can start the engine. All those switches have resistance. Over time, they even get more resistance. You will still show 12v to the Exciter, but it won't have the required amps to throw the solinoid in the starter.

I did not run a wire to it, the solenoid was clicking and the flywheel would move a tiny bit each time. If I pulled the PTO switch it would unclick and click, same with both handle switches. I pulled the switch out in the yard before we drug it to the shop to make sure all those wires were connected as well.

If this one starts doing it, I will bypass the key switch and put a push button on it.

I am so fed up with this mower this year

was out walking around the barn today & saw leaves all over the mini ex under the lean-to. had 3 spare sheets & lots of treated wood on the rack. decided id just frame that in & sheet it out with what i had to keep the wind/rain/snow/leaves off of the stuff under there from that side. the wind does blow right into that side.

as you can see i needed another half sheet & an outside corner. depending on how much the wife gripes about it: will run up to the metal place next week & get 4 sheets & 2 corners which will let me finish this side & do the other side too! sheets are cheap. ive got the screws & wood.

now just need to get the pressure washer out there after the leaves are done falling & blast the whole thing so it looks the same. those sheets had been leaning against the wall for 3 years...

YES thats miss Lola in the picture. she was checking out the changes.
