That’s a really beautiful car. My friend made a nice custom hot wheels 69 chevelle I gave to a member on here @JuanitoBonito not sure if he still comes in here or not. He had a gorgeous 68 chevelle

 

Perhaps @HuskerTrucker needs that Chevelle instead!

 

Found a second one, made small vent details, and the wheel swap. This was built super tough hard to get apart and heavy.

My lottery win dream car in the right color. The model is super cool and fully opens up, but when I opened the hatch one of the simulated struts came undone. I don't have small enough tools to repair it, but that'll teach me to open the hatch on one of these cars. I should have ordered more than one as they're basically already out of stock everywhere or single digits remaining. If I sit on it for a little bit I could flip it for a tidy profit, but tying up my cash isn't something I'm super enthused to do.

 

My dream car as well, with wing delete and in green.. love the mk4, doesn’t even have to be turbo

 

Funny, when I went to buy my C5 in 2016 I really wanted a MkIV and the only one in the country under 25k was a green slushbox NA without the wing. I don't love the green, but mine would have to be a targa with the big dumb wing.

 

Targa is a must! I like this one.. just magically need to come up with $150k

 

I could deal with that color, but the first thing I'd do is install the big, dumb wing.

I'm actually planning on selling my C5 this spring to hopefully buy another STi to get a big, dumb wing back.

I am still upset I missed the boat on the Supra by a few years. It would fix everything I dislike about the C5 while retaining everything I do like.

This my friends is the worst AUTOart MM2 (cue Clarkson voice)...in the world.

Don't go on eBay late at night, kids. After purchasing the other MM2 Interceptor and getting the extra pieces for it, I was left with the dilemma of how to display it. Do I do the nose on, or off since it had a removable nose. I thought, why not both and decided to hunt out an original issue of the MM2 car since it doesn't come with a removable nose but has all the add-on pieces. These things always sell for too much money. This one was almost too much money and in the UK, but I took a swing at it. I sent a lowball and came up with a fair middle ground and waiting for it to come from the UK. When it arrived it didn't match the description. Minor wear and tear was the understatement of the century. The box reeked of smoke, the styrofoam clamshell was actually discolored. The roof spoiler was glued on by Helen Keller and there were superglue prints all over the car. There was also a fairly decent scratch on the door.

I reached out to the seller and documented all the issues with the car. At first she offered me ~$50 back for my troubles. I said I appreciated her offer, but I didn't want the car at all. It didn't match the condition, I paid nearly $400 for it and while yes, it was one of the cheapest versions of the car on the site, it wasn't worth it for me and it didn't meet the "minor wear and tear" listed. She was polite and said I could ship it back. Since she used the eBay Global Shipping program I guess it was a bit of a nightmare to get the car back to her and she ultimately said keep it and refunded me. I gave her stellar feedback as that's not what my goal was out of the purchase and I kept it. For $400 it's a heap, for free it's a great car.

I’m sometimes weary about eBay purchases from the south. I’ve received cards that have made me question if this purchase was once floating in flood waters, and with all of our advancements in recent decades with technology, Willy Wonka’s smell-o-vision still hasn’t become a reality.

In 1997 Matchbox issued the 75 Challenge range consisting of gold painted versions of models from the 1997USA1-75 range. Each model was limited to 10,000 units. A contest was set up and to enter you had to collect 5 models and take a picture of yourself with them.
