Got around to changing my oil again yesterday, and this time there were no metal shavings at all on my drain plug. Maybe the PO just tapped a bad hole last time or something?

Well considering I can't LS swap my truck, I'll have to just enjoy my clapped belt driven hot air intake complete with stripped holes, worn rotors, supercharger. Love's the cold temps that's for sure.

Would love to drop the oil pan and check out your oil pick up tube, maybe the rest is all on that.

 

But is this better or worse than bitching about people complimenting your broverland build?

I'd like to think last time was just a fluke. I don't detect anything wrong with the engine, other than an occasional tapping noise from the engine, but I think the sewing-machine tick is kinda normal for these motors.

 

You wouldn't detect anything though, that's the point.

Whatever metallic flakes you collected would warrant dropping the pan to see what else is going on. I'm guessing it's getting clogged, just not enough yet to make a discernible difference for ya.

When are you selling it anyway? Add to it "needs engine rebuild"

 

I thought you're supercharger had a rebuild before you got it. This dude is asking new supercharger prices for one that looks like it's been in service since 2003 without any maintenance.

I just meant I couldn’t hear any knocking, although the valve train can be kinda loud sometimes on these V6 engines.

 

It only had 30k on it. I believe Brett on that as he has always been an upstanding dude. So now it has 45k on it. Lots of life left.

Not driving it enough. You need to come to mohave. Mine has almost 25K on it.
