@Wu tang I don't aluminum TIG (I'm just novice TIG guy here playing with steel still) however those welds in the pic were actually MIG welded, of which I do have nice Aluminum MIG setup. Is that on a trailer or something easily mobile?

Oh yah it’s a trailer. It’s a weird aluminum folding trailer. Would you be willing to tackle the job? I would be happy to pay your rate!

The early tag can be very tough. Our mid season guy text me yesterday. He's seeing quite a few real good deer and his hunter missed a giant...

New to the area but I think I finally settled in. Any of you ever own a Mini Cooper? Going to sell my RAV4 to aid in furnishing the house and switch for the Mini. Keep the GX460 for winters and maybe get a couple bikes.

    Welcome.

I was looking at an older cooper s/JCW. They can be temperamental so not something I'd want as an only car but I think one would be fun to rip around in and you could build a decent autox car with one, even if it's FWD. I decided to dump the money into my car from college that's been stashed under a cover in my parents garage for 10+ years instead but if you bought a copper I could live vicariously through you

3 hours later it’s in my garage. Don’t get too excited it’s just the electric model :anonymous:

@Kelvin, I'm sure it is still a fun little car (driving a slow car fast is usually a good time) and it's way more practical and probably faster than my 2 seater.

I know the Minis don’t have the best range but I’ve heard good things about them. Should be a great car for around town. We have a Mach E and besides filling up my Tacoma every 2-3 months it’s nice driving by gas stations laughing at the $5/gallon sign. :D

My dad just bought a Mach-e which is why I had to get my old car out of their garage...damn hippies

It seems like a nice ride though from the little bit of time I've spent in it.

I was skeptical but it is surprisingly fun. When I took it on its inaugural run to the grocery store earlier some Explorer was on my ass, then all of a sudden after the roundabout they were 8 car lengths back.

The range isn’t great but it’s more than enough for me. Definitely more efficient on the highway than my old RAV4 in EV mode. I also thought about a Mach E GT but then figured I just wouldn’t need all that car.

We got the AWD standard range Premium. I think it’s the slowest trim but it’s plenty fast for me.

It’s a nice ride. My first time owning a Ford. I didn’t really buy it for environmental reasons if there even are any. But electric cars are so nice to drive. Quiet smooth and very quick.

@nvnv, EV makes sense for short trips when the fluids in an ICE vehicle don't get up to temp. Our next vehicle will be an EV or plug in hybrid of some sort.

I just think they’re nice to drive at altitude. Up here my GX feels like it’s got the torque of a Corolla. Sacramento is probably the furthest I’d ever take an EV.

I like the idea of EV. I just don't like that they market them as green.
