I did a road extension just north of there on Oregon Ave to help permit a duplex. That whole area is really wild in terms of paper roads, legal frontage, and Town ownership. They are mix of private/public roadways that are not up to subdivision standards so the Town will not come in and accept them all. They are not maintained and have fallen into wild disrepair - it would be up to each homeowner to chip in and fund the road repair (which lets be honest, is not going to happen). I'd imagine emergency services will be the catalyst to get that area improved.

I searched through a whole bunch online of town records to find any information regarding responsibilities for road servicing/sale records showing private access… Not much info. I do love it when the towns publish their paving assessments.

That section of Olympia was originally created as a sewer easement, however there are a ton of paper roads in that area which never came into existence. Those paper roads gained access to a lot of interior lots that are still undeveloped and have since merged overtime through the Merger Clause due to no legal frontage. Between N. Quinsigamond and Dewey Rd it is private, and east of Dewey it is public.

When I picked up my tablesaw dude threw in a box of random stuff for it, including an ollllld dado set. Thought I would put it together and check it out, see how it runs, threw together this shelf with some scrap.

    IMG_20231101_191131_698.jpg

The stack isn't terrible but for any kind of potentially visible work I'll keep using my router or a chisel. I'll get around to finishing the shelf some day when I'm not excited about the on-deck projects.

No, its actually really solid, I need to look at the teeth and see if I can sharpen them. I think I should be able to, it looks old enough that it's almost certainly not carbide.

I think everything in the platform at this point is linked in the rear, that could be a fun little toy...

I dont think they all are. I think the bases are spring over and then the prerunner is spring under. Mustve been a nightmare designing that frame.

Oh jeez, I thought the whole reason they swapped to the tnga thing was to simplify the build process lmao

That's the cool part about the tacoma and tundra using the same platform - and I think the 4runner is moving to it too? Not sure on that one. Same as the ranger using the same AT as the F150, you could drop a 5.0 in the ranger pretty easily. Everything on the Tacoma is pretty similar to the Tundra now, won't take much engineering to make things fit together.

But the new Rangers you can get the 2.7 V6 TT out of the F150, that's so much engine for that little truck. Let alone the raptor version. Bananas. I want two.

That 2.7 is probably the best all around engine I've ever had in any of my vehicles. Super quiet, loads of power, and I regularly saw 24 MPG highway in a 5000 lb pickup. They have a good reliability track record as well.

Thinking back, it annoys me. My 2018 F-150 was such a great truck - no idea how they managed to drop the ball so bad on this one.
