Off topic, but I think it's time for me to do brake pads and rotors on my truck. Does anybody have any opinions as to OEM or aftermarket, and if so, what aftermarket ones? I'm interested in maybe getting more stopping power than stock, but not 4runner brakes stopping power as I want to still run my 16" wheels. Any advice from you knowledgeable folks?

EBC rotors and pads are probably going to be your best bet. I ran them for years before going to a full BBK.

Do you have a link to the specific ones? I'm finding like 10 different EBC brake kits

No, I went with green stuff and plain rotors tho. It's just how much you want to spend and how much stopping power you want/need for your application.

I did Stoptech Cryo rotors, SS brake lines, Motul fluid and TRD pads. They are dirty but stop great with big tires and towing. If you do your fluid, plan on needing TechStream to modulate the ABS to get all the air out.

I did stoptech rotors and more performance oriented pads on my focus st shortly before trading it for my Tacoma and it's the only thing I miss about that car. World of difference, like literally night and day.

I went with their Stage 4 (greenstuff pads with slotted rotors). They only have a few thousand miles but they work really well

Nice! That was a fun trip when we went up to grab our. Although we drove straight through to Belgrade for the install then started camping on our way back down. The grand tetons are so amazing and we had so much fun. Trying to plan another trip up there.

As of now wifey is going with me since looking at potential move so I'm trying to make the trip as nice as possible which for her which = no camping. If for some reason she can't get two weeks off I'll reorganize the trip and pick up camper then double back and do some camping to save $$

Oh gotcha. My wife went with me too but the GFC is on her truck and she loves camping. Just not the driving part. I poured her into the truck at midnight so she could sleep the majority of the way. Either way you end up doing it you will have a blast! And when you go up to get it dont forget to bring some AZ beers to donate to their fridge.

I'm hoping with the gfc I can get her to go out more and start enjoying it but for this trip it's all about making her enjoy Montana and fall in love with it so that is maximum comfort.

Its definitely a game changer! Get the memory foam pads to add and the flannel sheets. Fingers crossed it gets her to want to go with you more.

They just redesigned the factory mattress to a new 3 inch version for improved comfort. So hopefully no longer need to upgrade it
