Hello all, does anyone have any experience with these wheel spacers? I currently have .25” cheap spacers on and I believe they are causing vibrations as they are not fixed in place. The ones I have look like this:
    IMG_8064.jpg

I’m wanting to replace them with a spacer that will not move or push my wheels out much more than .25” as possible. Any advice/ideas?

I know it’s not ideal to run spacers etc. I have to because the wheels do not clear the calipers without them. I bought the truck this way and do not want to buy new wheels right now.

Bora makes one of the best wheel spacers as far as quality of machining and quality of billet.

3/4” spacer is only half an inch more than the .25 spacer. Barely noticeable

    These may be better balanced.

Best idea is to not use spacers. If you really must, use good ones.
I used some from Summit. Billet, never deformed or caused me any problems.

Remember, relatively thin spacers like that - although they're easy to install and remove - reduce the effective grip of your lug nuts by the thickness of the spacer. So, for a .250" spacer, you have .250" less stud for the lug nut to grip. I once found a friend's F-150 with a set that was thick enough that he only had 3-4 threads holding each lug not on. Not exactly advisable.

0.75 is as slim as you’ll find that have pre mounted studs and are quality. The 0.75 BORAs are great I’ve run them before.

If you want to run 0.25 you can have BORA make some slip on spacers to your 6x5.5 with the correct Toyota center hub diameter. I’ve had them make custom ones for me. Super easy to work with them. For 0.25 on a stock taco you’d need to get longer lugs for sure. With the 0.75 spacers that have the lugs obviously not necessary.

You do need to torque to spec and then recheck torque like 50-100 miles later then they are gtg. Spidertrax calls for loctite but BORA doesn’t. I never had an issue just torquing to spec.

I had that problem. The studs engaged decently but I wasn’t comfortable with the studs not sticking out of the outside of the nuts. So I had to replace them, luckily ARP makes them in the size I needed.

Bora makes 1/2" spacers too. I have them, but you will need extended studs also

I had them on my 2003 when I put my 15" wheels on it from my 91. I needed them to clear the calipers. Worked fine for years never an issue.

I run the bora 3/4 on the front, you have to cut the factory studs. No biggy. Mine have held up great, I’m pretty hard on my stuff..

like everyone has said, quality is worth paying for. Bora or spidertrax for sure.

If your wheels are acorn style, these style lug nuts have extra threads to make up for the loss.
