Here's an idea for placement of the heater switches. How about on the front face of the center console? More out of the way, and still accessible.

Yeah, I think it's all dependant on how far you can get your wires, the ability to have a sturdy spot for placement, and if you can access certain areas.

I know the console area is very easy to access and will be easily reachable. If anyone does areas we have not seen yet, post up some pics!

    Thanks,

Does anyone have the TRD logo or something to give to an embroidery place? I was considering having my seats embroidered before installed.

    Thanks,

I just returned the lexol conditioner to autozone and picked up meguirs gold leather conditioner. shit just smells so good.

lexol is a thicker conditioner that is kind of unscented. meguirs is a thinner conditioner but it smells awesome.

While you're at it with smell......you may want to consider "leather in a bottle" by Zaino ---> www.zainobros.com

I started polishing cars with zaino since about '02 after finding it on supraforums.com :) Shit works great on the paint and their leather in a bottle is, hmmm nice haha. just like clean leather.

edit: i love lexol for the thickness and lasts longer. But leather in a bottle smells much more like leather but is thinner and you will reapply it a little more often is all.

picked up a spray bottle of meguires gold class cleaner and conditioner and did all my leather today. then I was so inspired by how well it looked that I also did all the plastic trim with meguires plastic trim cleaner/protector.

then I decided to pull out my front driverside and passengerside door panels to try to do the arm rests.. id rather do the leather seats again than do these arm rests.. not a fan of spray adhesive and the spots that the screws go into are sketchy. looks great when its done, but i sure hope it doesnt come apart

As of this morning I really like the way it turned out. Seems like I did a better job than I thought. Everything is good and tight, no bubbles or delaminating. I'll post pics after I do the rear arm rests too

Andrew and I had a couple hours this morning to finish up his armrests. I really like the finished look of covering over the stock cloth/foam. I used both the dremel and the drill to remove the plastic rivots to pass on the easiest/safest method and I'm going with whatever you feel most comfortable with (hows that for advice :)) Andrew went with a Deluxe Katzkin Dark Graphite kit. Heres some pics of the finished project...

    Jesus my truck looks awesome.

If anyone is on the fence between Katzkin and CST, I would say go with Katzkin. The leather feels softer and you won't have to worry about a potential gap between the seat cushion and back cushion in the rear seats. No wrinkles at all in my leathers.

    bing bong boom.

black pasti-dip. i dont know if i should have used real paint though. might hold up a bit better in the long run. if you go the plasti dip route make sure you peel the tape before the paint dries.
