One of my better groups. 338 lapua also shot a 2" group on the same plate. Just a lucky day. I'm good but not that good.

Are they available yet? I thought they were "coming soon".

I am curious as to how the work/function. Same price as the Lab Radar, I assume same/similar technology.

    Huh?
I have used MS for years, nary a problem. Only issue I have heard very few people complain about (and not one to me) is not being able to take speeds and shoot for groups, as the weight hanging off the barrel will change harmonics. I don't think hardly anyone I know shoots speeds and groups at the same time anymore, ala Satterlee Method.

LR? I have used numerous ones,,, almost always an issue, not aimed right, battery dead, LR dead, silly settings, messin w tripods, goofy 3D printed Aimee and other widgets to make up for lake of design, etc etc.
At the price points, there is still a market for the MS and it's proven reliability.

To each their own, I suppose. At today's ammo prices, that's a less fiscally responsible choice.

I helped a guy at the range try to get his labradar working. It involved a lot of button pushing and some McDonalds straws. He gave up and offered to sell it to me for half of what he paid. Junque.

I would suspect that the cost of the more expensive labradar wipes out any gains from firing less rounds over said chrono

The new Garmin looks good and has some good reviews. Might be time to upgrade from the magnetospeed. It has served me well. Have used the Labradar and it is nice too, just like everything else there is a learning curve. The smaller footprint with the Garmin and being able to attach it right to the rifle might make it more appealing to some.

I use Applied Ballistics app, and their AB app for Kestrel. I do wish the two were combined though, they don't share information, and the AB Kestrel app doesn't work standalone on your phone as a solver, the data goes to the Kestrel only. That part is stupid, I don't think merging them is much of a tall order these days.

I don’t really use phone apps.
I use kestrel elite (AB). It’s what I know, and it’s easy to true out throughout its subsonic flight, but without needing multiple BCs, if using custom drag curves, which I do.

JBM was the other one I used for paper charts back some time ago. Ballisitc AE is JBM.

Hornady 4dof is good to. The have stuff for THEIR bullets that act like ABs custom curves, and publications on flight changes through different mach zones for those that still prefer to use multiple BC.

Back in the day we in the military we used cold bore on Trimble recons computers. Kestrel is better but the coldbore math is pretty good.
