Sorry, grilled cheese is a soft spot for me. One of my favorites. Cant let them be excluded from the sandwich world.

 

I bet you it'll be trash. From my understanding they recently sold the business and it's not the original owners. They will go the way of Pepe's.....expanded too fast and too far. Now it's garbage

 

Yup. It is sad....Sally's was by far the best and they sold out....now our only hope is delegna at nolo

 

Modern is still amazing. I just dont find myself in New Haven all that much.

 

Modern is good for sure. If you haven't had delegna though I would try it.....

I also avoid New Haven like the plague. Everything sucks there. Traffic, crime, dirty, bums, ppl, etc. I just have no need to ever go

 

Of course it’s a dry weekend, I’m scheduled to work this weekend! I can predict the weather for everyone if I just share my work schedule haha

 

I went to Southern, so I have a weird affinity for New Haven. Spent lots of time at Toads, the pizza places, and hiking. Actually some amazing hiking around there- Did a trail from westrock that goes all the way to Sleeping giant a handful of times. You would never know your in a city.

Living there also showed me how sheltered, and lucky I am in the grand scheme of things.

Yeah that's fair. Can't argue with that and it's those life experiences that make it worth it. I grew up in Bridgeport and moved to Shelton as a you teenager so I hear you there.

The Mercedes service center in New Haven is good. Enough better than the shop in Danbury to be worth the drive. That's sad, but my experience.

 

Yeah my statement was clearly filled with a bit of the dramatics lol. It'd be completely unreasonable to say there's zero good things there. I made more of a blanket statement
