My local TW has this….had it out with there one per customer selection for a few days, now it’s in the glass case. I don’t remember what they had it listed for, it was high for sure!

If I had $47,500 to spend on alcohol, I’d buy that Weller CYPB that I can never find and drop the rest on my mortgage.

 

The bourbonites won't care, but for the other 2 guys in here that like Scotch, enjoy my crotch Scotch.

These were 6 deep on the shelf by the way, because no one in this podunk town knows fine Scotch.

 

Good score! I passed on a 13.2 a little while back and still kicking myself for not picking it up

Just got back from Home Depot and I finished off my bottle of John Shaw, Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
Aged 5yrs and 106days. Mash bill is 60% Waspie Valley Corn, 23% White Winter Wheat, 12% Rye. 80 proof.

This is made up in the Fingerlakes in NYS. My brother-in-law, John Shaw of Heritage Harvesters in King Ferry NY is the source of the special strain of corn, unique to his plantings, that he grows organically, and harvests using "vintage equipment".

My wife picked up a bottle of Four Roses for me to try next without me even asking. Life is good.

 

People generally report good things. I have them all in cask strength but have yet to crack any.

I myself would be reaching for that Old Tub on the right though.

Bottle kill with a double of Tullamore DEW 12. Good light sipper, but not good enough I'll buy another. Get Redbreast 12 or Green Spot instead.

 

they’re all descent when they are priced correctly, which they are in your picture. For me the lost monarch is by far the clear winner, it’s a blend of the other two

 

benchmark, green Weller, and larceny barrel proof behind lock and key at my local specs if anyone is interested

It used to be $8-10 around here. The bottle I posted last weekend was $25
