Hi all, I have a 2016 Taco and I’m wondering if I installed led bulbs for the rear blinkers and left the fronts incandescent, would I get hyperflash and need to wire in some resistors? Or because it’s coming on with incandescent fronts they’d be ok?

I’d appreciate if anyone has tried this to let me know

I removed those annoying stickers on the sun visor.
If the bulb is designed to fit into the existing socket, it'll already have all the required resistors built in.

I have sylvania led bulbs I have not had a chance to try yet. They don’t have built in resistors, I’ll see if they work.

All I can relate is my experience with the Meso total tail stage 1 LED kit. My fronts were left as is. I had no hyperflash with the turn signals unless I put the truck in reverse at the same time. I replaced the Meso stuff with Form Lighting LED tail lights and that all went away because they have a built-in resistor. It really varies from truck to truck as to whether you'll need resistors or not.

I tough Meso had this solution for hyperflashing ... https://mesocustoms.com/collections/exterior-lights/products/total-tail-load-resistors

But maybe I misunderstood your post.

They do, and I actually have those resistors but didn't install them because my lights only hyperflashed when in reverse with the turn signal on. Because this rarely happened I didn't bother with them. I just wanted to let the OP know that it really depends on each individual truck whether you will get hyperflash or not. The replacing with the Form Lighting tails wasn't due to the hyperflashing. I just preferred them to the OEM housings with the total tails. You're right, I probably wasn't clear LOL.
