Hey Guys - Long time no post. My 2010 TRD needs new lights all the way around. The fronts are terribly hazed and one of the back lenses is cracked (but the lights still work). I figured I'd splurge if they aren't too costly. What do you recommend? From what supplier? LED? HID? Any advise welcome.

I just did all four corners on my 2015. The fronts were weathered and one was getting condensation inside, and the rears (earlier incandescent taillights, not my truck's original LEDs which are on the shelf for now) had broken mounting tabs, probably from some of the rough dirts roads I travel camping in the southwest.

I went with Toyota OEM all around. Not as cheap as many of Big-A options, sure, but the quality is worth it to me. One experience years ago with the headlamp clearcoat peeling off within a year and an inability to aim them without distracting hot and cold spots on non-Toyota lighting was enough to teach me.

Yep, OEM Toyota headlights are the way to go.

    Aftermarket taillights are usually fine.

I found these on CarParts.Com - Any feedback? Not sure what this "breather valve" on the fog lights is all about? Does it provide a path out for condensation?
    Fog Lights: https://www.carparts.com/fog-light/...10&vehicle[make]=Toyota&vehicle[model]=Tacoma
    Head Lights: https://www.carparts.com/headlight/...10&vehicle[make]=Toyota&vehicle[model]=Tacoma
    Tail Lights: https://www.carparts.com/tail-light...10&vehicle[make]=Toyota&vehicle[model]=Tacoma

I see the above recommendations for OEM/Toyota headlights. Any idea how much those will cost?

    Any & all suggestions welcome,

You asked, so I'll offer my opinion. Skip the aftermarket stuff. It's mostly junk. As for the specific headlights you linked, hard pass. Nothing for that price will be worth a crap. OEM is truly the only way to fly - even though they're more expensive.

Thanks for the input. I'm going to ping my local Toyota shop tomorrow with my vin and see what they can provide for lighting all the way around. What's the over/under on Fronts, Rears and Fogs? $1K?

The OEM headlights will probably be around $300 each. I'd suggest checking various dealer online offerings. They periodically pop up on sale. You might even be able to find a used set. In fact, for tail lights and fogs, I'd definitely recommend looking for decent OEM used lights. They actually pop up quite frequently.

New bright chrome (non-TRD Pro) OEM headlamps for my 2015 Tacoma were $250 each bought online at the end of September 2023 from my local dealer, where they offer an automatic 30% online discount. Surprisingly, the TRD Pro headlamps would have been $20-30 cheaper per side.

Incandescent OEM taillights were about $140 each from the same source. But I'd agree with everyone that used originals and many of the aftermarket taillights are usually OK.
