10’ with 143k here - been noticing a very slight vibration/shake accelerating from stop to 10-15 mph then goes away as I speed up. Any ideas what to look for? TIA.
Also, front wheels haven’t been balanced not sure if that could be a variable.

Agree with above, could be u-joint. It could be a lot of things, but those were the symptoms my 09 bad when one of mine popped at around the same mileage.
Get under it with a good light and inspect each one, one of mine was visibly damaged. Had a local drive shaft specialist replace them all for not too much $$

2014 here. From 104k when I got it to present 128k, FWIW: mine does this... but only on initial medium acceleration, like from a light or a dead stop: never at speed or on a downshift. Going by the feedback entry history over time here: many of them do it: either early on or eventually. (2nd gens anyway) There is no sloppiness in my driveshaft u-joints.

When it does it at all speeds or the whole truck shakes: address it: starting with the carrier bearing. Could be another 50,000+ miles from now... or never.

You guys have been the 4th or 5th people to say Carrier bearings/u joints so I’m leaning to maybe that may be it either way I’ll get under and tug around a bit more. I notice when in 4hi from stop to 10-15 it doesn’t do it

CB tends to sag over the years and causes a change in driveshaft angles. These can lead to shudder on initial acceleration. U joint can also do it.

Sorry but yanking on the driveshaft is not a definitive test. You cannot assess their health without removing them, unless they are really bad.

My '07 is going in on Friday for the same symptom. Although, sometimes I can feel it cruising also.

Is the truck lifted? If so what kind of lift and how much?

Could also be low on tranny fluid. A lot of tacomas came under filled from the factory. Especially if you have the tow package and transmission cooler

I've been dealing with the same problem for years. 2 days ago I decided to drain the transmission, open it and replace the filter, then waited for the right temp and made sure it was level. Drove the whole day and no change, so I added lubeguard instant shudder fix and the problem is gone... I couldn't believe it !!!!! I used 2 little 2oz because I lost almost half of the first one pouring it through the fill hole, then I used a funnel that flexes. I drove 180 miles and up and down hills and in traffic and it drives great..

That’s awesome man I’m really thinking that’s the culprit to my problem. Gonna just replace all u joints and carrier bearing while it’s all apart if it is
