It grew on me. After a little suspension work it drove really nice and the AC was cold as deaths breath.

Winter is just around the corner for me. I do my wrenching in the driveway, so feeling the pressure to wrap up some projects.
Cab mount bushings, replaced after dinner tonight. 10mm 1.25 pitch tap and die were good to have to clean up the old bolts and nuts before reassembly. Ratchet head 14mm wrench saved me a lot of time getting the bracket bolts out without lifting the body more than 3 inches. PB blaster daily for a few days, and a torch did the trick to break things loose.

buddy had as shitbox ford like that in HS. Put some nice suspension kit on it and it would hit speed bumps at 40mph like it was nothing. Was fun.

Ditched the old and faded smoked third brake light. Went back to oe red with Depo. Also got a hitch safe. Don’t have pictures of this yet but also got a new driver side seat panel and reclining lever. Had to color match the panel as best I could cus I have oak interior and the panel came grey. Got close enough. And then I realized I’m a goddamn idiot cus I ordered a passenger side seat lever but needed the driver side lever so it won’t fit. Go figure. Got another one on the way now. Anyone need a passenger seat recline lever??

Put a killswitch on my truck and put it all back together just to have the toggle switch I bought break the first time I tested it. Guess I got off easy having it fail in the driveway instead of out somewhere...any recs on a quality toggle switch not from oreillys?

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Triple drilled Yukon flange installed to adapt from Landcruiser diff to Tacmoa driveline.

This is ride height. Looks like the pinion angle and axle position worked out. (Moved the axle back to accommodate the longer nose on the LC 3rd member)

    20231105_122841.jpg

The slip joint still has clearance for more bump, and it doesn't slip out at full droop... I'll call it a win.

How's the yoke looking at full droop? If that's how it look at ride height, the yoke might be too short based on the picture.

@Speedytech7 may have that. I think he's working on building one for his truck now, I ordered a set from him a while back

Full droop. (May droop another inch or so with tires on etc. But that's all the way drooped)

Going to say no issues with the pinion angle.

    20231105_145911.jpg

From full bump to full droop I'm getting 13.5 inches of travel (without tire weight, and I'm also going to add another inch to the shackles). I'll have a full 14+ inch up and down.

This is driveline angle at full squish.

Did the valve cover gaskets prior to the cab going back on and noticed the passenger side was dirtier/more buildup that the driver sideIMG_1237.jpg Passenger side IMG_1236.jpgDriver side

Not to say passenger side is bad, more buildup/light layer of sludge on passenger side valve cover, more curious about the reason for the difference- maybe bad/clogged PCV valve?
