Hi All - I recently tried to Lubricate the Propeller Shaft on my 2015 Offroad, and I noticed that 3 of the 5 grease fittings seem to have a metal cap on them. Are these 3 non serviceable, or is there a way to remove the caps?

    Many coming
If none of the 4 sides has a hole then they are sealed bearings. Replace when needed.

That's odd. They look like zerks but it's like they were coated over. Pretty sure mine are all silver colored.

Likes like a regular zerks to me, just different color. Put grease gun on it and pump. If it takes grease, your good to go. If it doesn't take grease, report back.

Somebody coated the 2nd zerk with something, maybe paint or some other shit to resist underbody corrosion. Try scraping off the black crap without damaging the zerk. Your zerk should be shiny silver similar to the first picture.

Your first zerk looks damaged IMO. Zerks use a tiny depressable ball to allow grease thru the zerk and into the joint. Ball is spring loaded so it seals shut when you’re done pumping grease into it. It’s hard to tell for sure but it looks like the 1st zerk’s ball is damaged.

I'd clean off the first zerk, looks like paint on the second zerk and I'd try to scrape that off. Then see if they fill with grease. If not, or if they look bad after cleaning/scraping, then replace.

I did get under there and try to scrape it off - all that came off is what appears to have been paint.
