Can you use a door top seal from a front one and just cut the length down? Looks pretty straight, maybe @Tour991 has one for you.

Removed the front seats and center console and rolled the carpet back IMG_20231031_155945.jpg
Found a quarter for my efforts

Did a quick test with the seats wired to the plug stashed under the seat. Thankfully it worked because it was cold in the garage
    IMG_20231031_180035.jpg
I sat with both seats on high for a few minutes and nothing exploded so that's good.

    IMG_20231031_180000.jpg

Only a few more days until the seat brackets arrive.

Sure did and I'm happy about that. It's always nice to not need customer services.

The timing was spot on too with the temperatures steadily dropping. The dogs water bowl outside has had ice on top the last few mornings.

It was also good timing to set up the rednecked hot tub in the back yard

I took mine a small step further and wrapped insulation around it and insulated the exterior hose for the filter

Yea I have been meaning to do that as well. I did get some 2inch pink foam board and cut it to sit inside to support the lid, for some reason my lid doesn't hold air very long and actually ripped on a seem so it took on water until I created that foam barrier between it. Helps rain water from not pooling up on top the lid as well

    Planted brackets have arrived.
    IMG_20231102_134328.jpg
Installing the double locking seat sliders to the bracket is a bit of pain in the ass and the seats are making contact with the seatbelt tab if you want to slide in back at all they need to be bent out of the way by almost an inch

Just about got everything done with the seats. I did have another small hang up thinking I was going to reuse the mounting hardware for the seatbelt receptors but the bolts are welded to the seat frame on the old seats so I'll be sourcing something else.

Wasn't expecting it to be such an ordeal with the seat belts to say the least.

I like the position of the heater switches but had hoped to install them somewhere less likely for a dog to step on.
    IMG_20231102_233935.jpg
    Not bad for not measuring.

The instructions would lead you to believe the inline fuses are 10 amps but they were supplied with 5 amp fuses :notsure: guess well see how they hold up.

I am quite the fan of soldering heat shrink
    IMG_20231102_225107.jpg

the one I'm using has waterproofing and I also covered it with regular heat shrink for added insolation to keep it looking clean
    IMG_20231102_224155.jpg
I swapped the provided fuses for some LED fuses that light up if they pop. It's very easy to spot a blown fuse and have used them into a lot of things over the years.

The small plastic covers on the side of the seats for the reclining handles are both missing one of the screws so they flop around a little bit, hopefully I've got a couple screws kicking around. not a major issue just something I noticed along the way
    IMG_20231102_204040.jpg

It's a little hard to get a good picture of the black seats in the dark but here's something for now

How comfy are the seats now that installed, and how is the lumbar support?

Well done on the heater switches.

The back rest hugs me very nice and I feel more planted in the seat. I had intended to take a bunch of measurements for the seat height difference.
The lumbar support is like a balloon if you want more or less you just adjust the pressure right to where you want it. I don't love the control for it because it's just sticks out like a limp tail

I've got a trip coming up so I should have a good idea in the next couple weeks.

I think seat jackers could still improve the seating position

I did pick up hardware for the seat belts receptors today, should have those in tomorrow.

I've had the hot tub for 3 years now, still working like it should.

The electrical is only 120v so it can be plugged in to a standard outlet unlike most hot tubs and there's some sort of internal timer so it will shut itself off after somewhere around 3 days if left alone

I got the seat belt buckles in today. Took a little more massaging and it's a tight fit
    IMG_20231104_130233.jpg
I had to take the bends out of the buckle brackets and bend them in the opposite direction a little. At least that was easier than bending the buckle tabs on the Planted seat brackets into place. There also some tabs on the buckle bracket that I needed to cut off
    IMG_20231104_130217.jpg
The tab helped keep the buckle in place on the factory seats.

I did need to drill a couple holes into the center console for the new buckle hardware to go through. not a great picture but you can see it right above the bolt hole for the seats on the hump for the transmission tunnel.

I missed the mark a little on the drivers side but the console is bolted down like it should be and it's good enough for who it's for
