Pretty easy just hold it up so the shaft is hanging and tap it with a ball peen hammer for a minute or two, I just dropped my drive shaft. Change the carrier and reassemble the drive shaft in like 20 minutes

My next question is how well will the two piece drive shaft hold up once I'm running 2.5 time the torque? PXL_20231104_153026745.jpg

New spotter mirrors. I got the version with the heating element because I plan to do the mod for this sometime in the future. I figured for an extra $10 it was worth it. These definitely look much cleaner than before.

I was just wondering if anyone else also dealt with this frequently. I'm on my second one and it only seemed to last maybe 20k. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the higher than stock gear/tire ratio I'm running which runs the drive shaft at about 400 rpm higher than stock (according to my calculations anyway). Maybe that's burning out the bearing faster? Not sure if you are also running a hire ratio. Wonder if there might be a better bearing replacement that can handle the higher revs.

My PK380 fits with plenty of room. Looking up dimensions it appears the Walther is 1in shorter in length than the CZ. You should be able to use the vault with no issue.

Yeah I'm at 5:29's I've replaced every year since regearing. I'm pretty sure the best solution if just getting a custom single shaft made with a double cardigan.

4.88s here with 35s. Yeah I was afraid of that lol (going to a single shaft). Not real stoked on running a super long drive shaft that will hang down more though. If it's just the rpms cooking the bearing I would think there should be some better bearings out there that could be made to work. Probably not something most people bother looking into though.

Indeed, hitting the driveshaft is pretty rare.

Sounds good. Very simple and shouldn't take long at all.
