To reiterate; what I thought was a coupler issue, isn't.

A test cut file (TAP) that's used to cycle the Z axis on Firecontrol (without firing) results in a .02" cut height after the program runs.

This points to an IHS issue initially.

Leaving smart voltage on, or even disabling it and entering a manual voltage between 110-115v, still results in a 93.7v on Live monitoring resulting in the same .025" cut height regardless of the programmed cut height I set in post process.

And yes, the coupler on Z axis is so tight that if you cycle the torch down to the work piece and continue, it will literally flex the gantry tube.

The couplers supplied are cheap, that's all.

Many upgrade them and if you see my last post, my upgraded coupler works so well it can pick up the gantry tube.

Still, what I thought was the cause of my issue simply isn't.

What’s the longest welding gun you can get for a multimatic 215? I’d like a 20-25ft lead. I bet mines from end of 2016 beginning of 17 and not really wanting to change consumables and looks like the m100 is what I have. Does the mdx100 use different consumables?

I have an MDX100 on my Miller and I *think* they're different as my old gun I replaced was an M10.

You can easily answer your question looking at Miller consumables as they'll state what torch they're for.

Should look at all my tables in my garage; the level/flat spots are occupied by the two tables I made without adjustable feet

Finally made progress on the storage rack.for some small parts drawers.

The rack holds 13 of the drawers. I still.need to add the castors, and the backstops.

My multimatic 220 came with the MDX-100. Only 10' so I feel you on wanting some more length (ask my wife, hehe). Here's the part numbers if it helps you compare consumables.

Edit: MDX and M10/M100 consumables are different. Thanks @Kwikvette.

If memory serves right, M10 and M100 are interchangeable.

    MDX100 uses different consumables.

I have consumables for M10/100 and MDX100 and don't even use my Miller :violent:

You're right. Just went and looked and they are different. Guess I have a consumable kit that is worthless to me and I never noticed...

MDX tip left, 211 tip right

Did some wear back elbows for a local plant. I'd never done a design like this one, but it's quite genius for longevity.
