What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Took advantage of the nice weather and got a nice clean in before winter. Also installed the Apache 9800 from harbor freight. They had a 10% off discount this weekend. It just happened to fit perfect on top of the front runner. Didn’t measure beforehand cause YOLO. Got to love when a plan comes together smoothly

 

I too 3 layer waxed my Taco 2 weeks ago. Is that antenna on front?

 

The juice is definitely worth the squeeze. Yeah it’s a GMRS ghost antenna. I liked my 3 footer I had on there before, but got tired of hitting it on the garage door lol

 

The torque comes alive with a load in the 2.7, the motor feels happy all of the sudden.

 

Added a second solar panel to help make sure my battery does not get overly drained when I'm using my radios.

Got my Diamondback cover installed. Now going to see if I have weatherproof the rest of the bed well enough.

 

Day 1 of me trying to cosmoline my truck without a lift, ramps, or a jack.

IT SUCKS

After I dropped the spare tire, I started by wrapping/taping the exhaust in newspaper to minimize how much is going to burn off. Don't do it like I did though. Tape up the entire exhaust and everything else you don't want to get black goop on before you start spraying. I did it as I went and I ended up with it in my clothes, in my hair, on my face, etc..

I'm about 1/2 done. I'll pick up again tomorrow when I can get some natural light from the sun. It was too tough in the dark moving my drop light every 2 inches.

 

Did my 20k oil change and installed the Fumoto Valve (

$40 F133N with LC-10 F-Series Large Body FUMOTO® Valve with Long Nipple and LC-10 Lever Clip for M12-1.25

F133N) to save some time and make it a cleaner oil change.

When I was removing filter, the canister plug didn’t come off and the whole canister came off and oil went everywhere. Spent more time cleaning than actually doing the oil change.

 

Got some new wheels and tires today! Thanks @Discount Tire for the great installation. They did put the wrong side out on the tire than I wanted, but it's still awesome looking.

Went with Nitto Terra Grapplers 265/70/R17 on a Pro Sema wheels.

As an FYI, Dove and Irish Spring along with a scrub brush doesn't get it off entirely. If I had blonde or grey hair I'd have to shave my head when I'm done. So...

Two Thumbs Up for Cosmoline's sticking power! I hope it works as well on my frame.

 

Replaced the McGard wheel locks that I did not want and don't need with standard lug nuts and got my truck into my tire shop for an alignment to get rid of the slight pull to the right it's had since I drove it off the lot in August.
I know it's covered under warranty but the dealership can't even inflate the tires right so I don't trust them for that.

 

Installed bed cover and bed mat, I think the bed mat weighs more than the mx4. I didn’t like seeing the silver paint once the bed rails were relocated so I used some black wrap vinyl I had. And yes I forgot to paint the brackets. Thanks to @truckalter for the bed cover.

Mine will be here in 2-3 weeks, any tips on the install? Looks fairly easy.

 

Waited 8 weeks for this one! C4 overland bumper, Trd grille, r4t bumper caps. Couldn't of done it without the harbor freight lift table.

 

Got the tires and put the ceramic coat on the wheels.
