I think 140mm with a 34 or a Pike would be the sweet spot here based on past hardtail builds. I like that the CS is adjustable with a large range.

I agree. I don’t like the complete build at all. Chrome frameset already sold out in Large. Brakes would be an immediate upgrade.

Neat, not enough to make me second guess my Commencal Meta HT though.

Trying to debate taking the bike to Gatlinburg this Thanksgiving.
I pass through Chattanooga so probably ride the new park there, Walden's Ridge, while on the way.
Debating Spending a Day at Windrock.
Knoxville is about 30 or so miles 1 hour drive to Baker's Creek.
Townsend is about 45 minutes away from where we would be staying.

Choices, anyone else have any ideas around there?
Hell, may even bring the Gravel Bike.. Doubtful, but possible.

Currently have Five Ten freerider flats.. looking at a new set due to a hole in the sole after much abuse lol. Anyone try the 2FO DH flats from specialized? asking since theyre on sale and in my size at the LBS. Mainly looking for something with the same amount of toe protection from rocks that the freerides have.
any major CONS that any users can think of?

Can you wait a couple weeks? I would expect to see the Five Ten shoes marked way down for Black Friday.

I just bought a pair of Impact pros for like $60 bux a few weeks ago. If I recall it was a deal someone posted on here? I also expect that they will go on sale again soon.

This. Just look for the sale section on their web page. I got a set of Hellions Elites for $70 and they are even less now. I will say the Hellions fit very snug so maybe size up a half size. I ordered in my normal size and they aren't too small but they are very snug.

I can hold off probably another month but the closeout below is hard to beat...
So I went ahead and got the last of the color i liked in the Hellion Elites and went up half a size from reviews. Curious to see how these compare to the freerides.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

Been there, did that. Looks like that axle has seen some use. Time for some fancy purple one?

Deerfield for Treehouse CX today and Bethlehem NY tomorrow. I borrowed one from another bike for today and hopefully can find a replacement. One to many ugga duggas on the thru-axle. Now I have an excuse to buy one of those pre-set torque wrenches.
Impressive recollection @Pugga ! Thank you!

@neatoneto have you ever ridden over in Charlemont? I'm planning my summer roadtrip to the NE and need to know if this place is worth a visit. It definitely looks like it from the video. Full disclosure I'm a whore for good advertising and do not want to get fooled into something lame.

So, just found out the overall for the go nuts enduro here was won by a 15 yo XC rider on an epic.

i talked to him after my ride and dude super humble, he was almost embarrassed when one of my friends told me his results.

The best thing is look what he wore
