Not good news that you tested positive for the big C! It's good news that it seemingly was a mild case, and hopefully you will feel better soon and have some immunity built up just in case!

 

Like your choice of music, you have excellent taste. I grew up in the Oakland/SF Bay Area which was music central in the 60’s. I saw CCR before they were called CCR or were famous. I watched them practice in John Fogertys parents garage once in El Cerritos. Forgot what they were called then it was a dumb ass name, but it was obvious to me they were good and going to be big.
Saw Jimmy Hendrix at the Filmore in SF around 1968. He put on an unbelievable performance. He was as much fun to watch as he was to list too. Never saw Smokey, Otis or CSN in person but liked their music. Good choices there omegaman.
Your handle omegaman makes me recall the movie The Omega Man. Great movie with Charlton Heston. I’ve seen it 4 or 5 times.

 

Afternoon everyone - Part 1 of 2, Austins' Pistons at the Park. And I'd like to thank our hosts one more time for the clean and spacious restrooms! Let's see; a lot of Toyota trucks in the line, so I'm going to make them happy with pics elsewhere, but you can look at them too. Did someone say Slingshots? These folks seem to have a blast with them. Talked to a young couple of Miata lovers, who enjoy driving them funly instead of blowing them up (the answer is always "Miata". And the Ford Surf Wagon - yes it is. The young man parking it inherited it from his Gramp, who only painted it brown, put in the Chevy drivetrain, and replaced the steering wheel. California surfers car, no foolin. There was other things that caught my eye as well. On the way out, I passed a Buick Grand Sport (67 I think), a 64 GTO, and other stuff that got there too late for primo parking. I keep going further back, but they're not there when I do the walk. Hope you have fun.

Small stage and local bands playing. BBQ & hot tub. Airplane, Glady's Knight & the Pips,Jackson Browne and friends . Bonnie,in person and I shake hands with all and welcome them. They then played for US.

 

Yeah, gotta love the woodies. Those Oldsmobile air cleaners have sure gotten popular.

Good morning. @Oldie2007 Lots of nice pictures and something for everyone. TY for posting. Schedules for a bone density test this am. My primary doc wanted me to have one. Do otheres have a like/hate relationship with Amazon? Ordered a part for a grill refurbish, street side find, and get a notice, yesterday, the delivery day that the shipment is delayed and if not delivered by Tuesday file for a refund on Wednesday. I need the grill out of the garage. Yesterday successfully replaced the wiring harness in my son's F150 rear door. What a PITA! To put the door panel back in there are 7 tabs and the door unlock/lock button that need to be engaged. Harder to do then it should be. Today it will be Pollo Asado Al Carbon using the WSM, Weber Smoky Mountain. As a side I am attempting smoked scalloped potatoes and regular steamed broccoli. Should be a fun cook.
