Your correct I’ve been there done that, got the scars to prove it. I always park in the taco shack when at home but in public your on your own, that’s why I painted red so not to show blood and hide. Really it’s more of a anti crash than anti personnel device, after all I would never want to maim the delivery person who brings me all the crap I dress my taco up with.

Did you have to recalibrate the speedometer with the larger rim size? Any issues with rubbing? Been thinking or doing the same thing.

Yes it will definitely keep you honest lol.
I believe mine is a Uniden R7 it was the latest and greatest “ in that price bracket “when I bought it for my new bmw in 2022.
Yeah they give you a lot distance to like I mentioned earlier there had been multiple times I slowed down because it gave me a alert and kept getting louder but I saw no one and I was like really …. And then there he was lol.
I really like how it shows the direction the hit is coming from to . So I know wether or not to start looking in my rear view mirror .

That silver really does a great job of not showing the rain for the last two weeks since it’s wash.

I didn't go up in wheel size just tire size. Honestly haven't driven it much since I got it done. Haven't seen a rub yet though. The speedometer should be good from what I've read.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.

In that the ring hangs "sidewise", It doesn't flap around and I've never heard it bang. In truth, the ring requires some effort to swivel from one side to the other.
Luck of the draw I suppose.
