It has the coil spring rear because they used modified Tundra air bag rear suspension to lower it. I think the only way you will see an Xtra cab with coil rear is if they make the X-Runner.

But hey, the TNGF is supposed to me a modular plug and play so make your own.

I wonder how similar the TNGA-F frames are on the Tundra/Sequoia/Tacoma/LC300/NewLC. I'm guessing the width between the shock towers are the same and the only difference in wheelbase and length. The track width is determined by the control arm length and/or spindles/brake hubs. This is why it was easy to put the 3.4T in the Tacoma and how the New LC has the 2.4T and the GX550 has a 3.4T. I bet you the trans crossmembers interchange on all platforms. The X-Runner uses Tundra suspension components.

This means is we could use salvage control arms from a 22-24 Tundra to make a long travel Tacoma.

Not following the “This is why it was easy to put the 3.4T in the Tacoma…”

BTW, do you know if GX550 and Tundra/Sequoia share the same frame?

    Thanks.

The 550 is one of my (very few) G4 Taco alternates. If it's on the Tundra frame, it's going to be too big for me, though.

Well the TGNA-F is a name that encompasses many frame sizes under that architecture.

same frame but different shorter cross members. The 550 isn’t as big as the Sequoia.

It is a SUV body on the Tacoma version of the platform.

I'm not well versed on the TGNA-F frame but I think little differences are made per model line using that design from what i understand.

Yep. I’ll try and find the article stating what the differences are.

So the 550 will have the same 12 o'clock shadow / footprint as the Tacoma?

    Roughly.

Where the Sequoia is basically the Land Cruiser 300/Lexus 600.

The 550 is shorter and wider than the Gen 4 Tacoma

GX is 83 inches wide Tacoma is 75

    550 is 197 inches long
    Tacoma is 213 (roughly)

At least that is what I get when I google, GX550 size and 2024 Tacoma size.
