I knew they put the 6.0 in the "heavy half-ton" 1500HD early 2000's trucks. Didn't know you could get the 6.6 as well. That would be sick!

    You could get a turbo and non-turbo 6.5 diesel in the mid 90's C and K half-tons.

i know about the 1500hd (cousin had one) but it only came with the 6.0 it had one drivetrain according to chevy.
that list also shows 2500 and 3500s so its going to show the 6.6.

i did forget about the 8.1 thou a buddy had one it was a wild truck

Aye, forgive me for ever questioning the authority on all things factory production

According to the internet there's also no way my friend's squarebody could have been built with a 6.2. Diesel half-tons weren't built from 1982-88, and until '81 were only offered with the 5.7 Olds diesel. Stranger things have happened.

I'll take the L on this one. I misheard him when we were talking about it. I just verified that it's actually a 2500HD and I will not make any excuses about being in a loud manufacturing facility during the conversation. So yeah, I was wrong.

I'm fine with slow and gutless. It suits my lifestyle.

i mean go for it i guess? ive never heard of one and ive never seen it as an option plus during that time frame a lot of people i know were buying that gen of truck cat eye is the name if im correct? and the only way they got the 6.6 was the 2500 and up even thou many wanted in a heavy half option. so ive never heard of it so it sounds off to me.

ive heard of those thou werent they the military ones or something? i know a buddy had i think an 85? diesel but i cant remember if it was a half ton or larger tbh its been some years.

Military trucks were the CUCV, built from 1984-87. Blazer chassis was rated at 3/4 ton, pickups were 1-1/4 ton, with even heavier chassis options for other roles. They all had 6.2 diesels and 24V electrical systems.

My friend's was a basic brown-on-tan regular cab 2wd short box that his grandpa ordered new with a 6.2.

Give it time, something else will turn up...

Lies! It doesn't exist, there's nothing to be seen!

I dunno, $1k or less? I mean, a $250 TW200 would convince me to drive to KC today.

We all have wishes and dreams. These are some of mine.

On an unrelated note, my town delivers the goods again with this:

He said his range is about 70 miles pulling the skidsteer and trailer. Apparently it pulls really really well and rides nice.

Yeah, that's the closest place for me to get coffee that doesn't suck. Casey's has really upped their coffee game.

I probably couldn't take a picture in Rolla without you knowing where it is lol

To an extent. They're really trying to change/develop that town.

Rerouting traffic from the west I-44 interchange away from King's Hwy threw me off the first couple times I saw it. Now the school is building a "grand entrance," which just seems stupid. There are reasons I don't donate anything to them...

And my old rental house has long since been bulldozed.
